diet help

I've never had my body fat measured no, but I can look at myself in the mirror and there is a noticeable gut. I originally did try to tone it up but despite exercise it really hasnt toned any.
Ok. Yeah. See when you're already at a healthy weight, then losing more body fat becomes progressively more tough.

I'd say at this point you probably need to focus more on body recomposition than on dieting per se. I'd start off by reading the sticky posts in the exercise area, specifically this one: http://weight-loss.fitness.com/weig...ise/32836-conceptual-side-weight-lifting.html

Belly fat is usually (for most people, although not all) the last to go. It's the hardest to get rid of when you're already down to a normal bodyfat range.

no offense taken jericho, I have heard of people who think they're fat when they're not, but believe me that's not me. my image of myself is not good but its not imaginary.

I just don't know. The numbers don't add up, I'll say that but I think Kara has the best advice. Maybe it is a change in exercise that is needed, and I'm definately not one to give you advice there.

the two of you may be right about needing a different exercise routine, I think I'll take a look on that forum and see what they think of it. Thank you both for taking the time to help me I do appreciate it greatly.

Hmm you seem a little familiar.

Anyways, you are late to the party if you are new. I'm sorry you feel like you need to echo a banned member almost word for word. Funny that it is word for word. I wonder what an IP check would show..

are you getting enough sleep

Maybe you need to get more sleep. Sleep replenishes growth hormones that are essential to building lean muscle tissue. If you don't get enough sleep, those muscles you worked so hard to tear down don't get a chance to rebuild themselves. As a result, you don't see a change in your body because you're not taking advantage of the body's premium recovery time.
