Merry Christmas everyone, Rosered and Christina and anyone who reads this. I got a new mobile phone and lots of perfumes so I am very happy. I am not too happy about weight though, it's Christmas and I haven't been dieting, I will soon though, New Year I want to lose fast.:)

:D A new phone is terrific and you can never have 2 many perfumes, stick them in the fridge when its summer so the don’t go off. Don’t worry hun I have put on a kg or 2:( that I have to get rid of now but I did have a good time over Christmas.;)

Glad to hear it Rosered, I had a great time and daren't look at the scales yet!!! I feel relieved that I'm not the only one to have put on a couple of pounds!:p

Hey there! Just wanted to check in on you! I haven't looked at my scales yet either! I think I'm gonna wait until Jan. 1st.. anyway just wanted to say hello!

Hi Christina, Hope you had a lovely Christmas, I think I might start a new diary thread called Cate's New Start because I feel it would be right for the new year. I would start this on Jan 2nd. Then I would have no more celebrations standing in my way!!:)

 Oh no your not going to kill off catesweight are you …you no Texas got flushed down the toilet:D I new diary sounds like a wonderful idea for a new start.

Hi Rosered,
No, no!! I won't get rid of my name 'Catesweight', just 'Diary of a Hopeful Loser' changed to something like 'Catesweight's new start'. I need a fresh start after my Christmas dieting disaster!!:)

Trying to detox today so here's the low down so far:
vits
nettle tea
orange juice
cabbage,carrot,leek,celery homemade soup
more vegetable soup
blackberry tea

keep thinking I must look in on your diaries, rosered and Christina, always rushing around, but will try!

Can't believe how after detoxing yesterday I feel so bloated! I had a vegetable day yesterday, today I'm off to the market to load up on fruit and so today I will detox on that.

nettle tea

update later

Oh well that’s a relief lol I would be running all over the board looking for the new you.
How are you going with the detox hun? What fruit did you get for yourself?

lol Hi Rosered,
I got myself some strawberries and melon, apples, bananas etc.. I am just going to try eating fruit or vegetables to detox. But today it didn't work out because I had a hot mince pie with a spoon of cream and some of my childrens chocolate Santa. I will get passed this when I start my New Year diary. Still I have not overeaten, but there's the rest of the day to go yet! Tell me Rosered, what do you do to overcome the temptation, any tips would be gratefully received!!:)

hey there.. everyone seems to be doing really great fending off giving into your temptations! Honestly.. I don't think you should keep ALL tastey foods from you, but learn to limit yourself to "tiny pieces" or something of the sort. At least that's what I recommend. :) If I'm having a good day I can usually, enjoy my small treat of something sweet and limit it to that. But I know how easy it can be to go over board and do in the day's diet. So my only other trick to staying away from the junk food is the constant silent reminder to myself, that every little yummy treat I do NOT eat, its 1/5th of a pound I am not putting on my body. No matter how inaccurate that might be :) Lol.. its just keeps me in line! Good luck.. you can do it!! :)

Thanks Newleaf, your right, I should deny myself completely. It seems it's all or nothing with me! Thanks for the tips I shall give them a try!:)

All the fruit sounds yummy hun except for the melon lol. Well mate I didn’t resist any temptation over Christmas, I think its as good a time as any to have all the foods you like to what ever degree you like to have them…but there is a method to my madness, by the time Christmas is over you feel like crap, honestly the food makes you feel tired and like you don’t want to get off your butt. Then I go back to the way I normally eat now and it should really kick start me off again. It just reminds me what I used to be like and I don’t like the lazy old me at all. A new sense of motivation.

When im eating properly though and I have the craving for sweet things or the foods I used to eat (usually once a month when ttom comes to visit) I replace the high sugar foods with low fat sweet things and also party size chocolates, lots of fruit …for e.g.

I have popcorn that I buy from the health food section of the supermarket its honey coated and tastes really sweet but only cost me one point.

A fun size Milky Way is one point

Do you guys have veggie chips (crisps)? For a lunchbox size pkt of them its one point

We can also have lollie pops most of them are one point.

Grapes are good at this time also because of the sugars but I also try and find low gi foods to keep me full longer so I don’t crave all the time. Beaked beans and whole grain breads and cereals are good.
But if you are just getting the munchies but are not craving the sugars try the rice cakes, veggie sticks with a low fat salsa ect. Let me no if this helps mate if not we will find something else that will. Sorry I can’t help with the calorie count hun.

Many thanks rosered, lots of good ideas there, I will definately give them a try. I always get the ttom munchies, I have a ravenous appetite for sugar and salt, then end up retaining water and feel like a walking water balloon!!! Then when my hormones settle, I shed all the excess water (up to 4lbs), and I feel much better and slimmer!! I will try the popcorn and veg crisps, I have seen them around. Never thought of a lolly pop, but they would be good for sugar craving, I didn't realise they were only 1 point, and they last a long time too (that is if my kiddies don't whip it out from my mouth first!!)

Glad to hear you enjoyed yourself at Christmas!:) I know what you mean about feeling awful after all that gorging! I can't wait til I can get back to normal foods and start serious dieting again!!

Hey hun! Just thought I'd stop in and say hello! Party for me on the first Ok!..lol.. I was told today I couldn't have a drink because of my medication I'm on.. :( ... and I was gonna wait until after the first to start the medication.. but I was just in so much pain I want to try to get rid of this infection! Anyway just trying to catch up on a few diary's while dh is leaving me alone!.. lol ..I think the diary thing is a great idea!

Hi Christina,
Sorry to hear about your infection, I hope it clears up soon! Don't worry about not drinking, just think you won't have to deal with the bad head in the morning and your doing the right thing by thinking of you wellbeing first! :) :)
