Daniel's trip to Hell and back

Haha, ya my goal is going to be five. I never realized they would be sooo damn tough.

Anyhow, on the with the show. Ran 10 miles today in combat boots. If i was wearing normal shows i could've gone more. My calfs really broke down around mile 7.

morning:
1 hour bike

afternoon:
10 mile run - 80 minues
push ups
20 elevated feet
20 diamond
20 wide grip
20 elevated feet
20 diamond
20 wide grip
50 max
All of the above was alternated with 20 sit ups

3 sets of
tricep press down - 15@60 lbs
20 push ups

Turned out to be a pretty good push up work out even though i only put in 230. The heavy tricep press downs really owned me. After the long run i was having trouble staying motivated. Still managed a solid push up lift though.

Hey folks, gonna make a quick one tonight. Getting sorta tired.

morning:
65 minute bike
pull ups, warm up=4 5x4 w/ 25 lbs, 4x6 lumberjack pulls, maxes=8,4,5

afternoon:
light full body lift
swim: didn't do a whole lot of actual work. Did a lot of underwater comfort drills, including holding a floatation device underwater and pushing it to the end of the pool and back. Was harder than it sounds, tough on the lungs.
soccer - 1.5 hours

All in all, good work. It's about what i expected on the sixth day in a row of work. G night everyone.

Hey everyone, last post was on friday, but i only rested yesterday so not a whole lot to put down on paper. Today i had a good work out and found out about a couple new exercises i'm itchin' to try. First one is called a 'doom up'. what you do is put your calfs on the edge of the pool deck with the rest of your body suspended over the water. You need a buddy to hold your legs down obviously. To begin you lean back and let your back touch the pool wall underwater, hold your breadth for a pre determined time and then complete a full sit up. The exercise is 10 reps. The other exercise is called 10 ups. You do a push up, dive into the pool swim underwater to the other side, get out and do 2 push ups, dive in and go all the way up to 10 push ups. This is done with the width of the pool. between 15-20 yards.

Anyhow, this is what i did today.

morning:
swim freestyle 30 minutes
8x25 underwaters on 1:30
1x50 underwater
100 y kick board

afternoon:
50 minute bike
superset:
20 elevated push ups/20 sit ups
20 diamond push ups/20 sit ups
20 wide grip push ups/20 sit ups

Hey everyone, had a really great work out today. Getting comfortable at the current gyms i'm working out at so i'll be able to keep up the work load. This is what i did today. :)

morning:
20 minutes airdyne
1 hour of leg lifts including squats, leg extenion, step ups, calf raises, and a couple more.
In between each set i pounded out 20-40 push ups and some abs. I figure i did between 350 and 400 push ups easily and then did 4 sets of max push ups. I made sure i never rested between any sets. I was constantly in motion and sweating profusely. Thus, it was a great cardio burn too.

afternoon:
4 mile run - 30:00
swim -
500 y freestyle
250 y kick board w/ fins
500 y freestyle
250 y kick board w/ fins
10x25 underwater on 1:30
250 y kick board w/ fins
100 free/100 breast/100 free/100 breast

Today marks a new record for swim distance at 2400-2500 yards. Just a couple months ago i was struggling to make 1000 in one session. Very pleased with the progress.

Hey everyone, sorry for neglecting to post the last 2 days. Saturday was a day off and an uneventful one at that. Today i took it easy on my upper body because i'm developing some soreness in my right shoulder. I'm getting frustrated because i want to continue to lift, but i want to heal so i'm 100% too. I'm sort of stuck in a hard place. This is what i did today.

morning:
4.5 mile run - 32 minutes

afternoon -
swim freestyle - 30 minutes/~1800 yards
10 underwater 25's on 1:30 (relaxing)
1 underwater 50 (not relaxing)
45 minute bike ride
abs
stretch

As i said my shoulder has been bothering me for the past week. I don't know if i'll be doing push ups and pull ups this week. I iced a good amount today and hopefully will see some benefit from it tomorrow.

Hey everyone, been a few days since a post. Just haven't gotten down the basement much, i'm still working out as much as always though. 2 Days ago i did 75 pull ups so i'm still making good progress. I had a good work out today and got a few contacts within the seals that i'll probably call tomorrow. I'm planning on giving myself a past test on sunday to see how i'm doing overall. This is what i did today.

morning:
circuit - 4 times
1 minute bike sprint
30 push ups
30 sit ups
8 dips
30 flutter kicks (4 count)
8 chin ups
Took 16:50

AFternoon:
3 mile run - 22:30
3x10 pull ups
3x8 curls @ 60 lbs
30 minute stationary bike
minor abs

Hey everyone, been awhile since my last post. Been doing really great lately, and still be working out a ton. I think i limited myself to zero christmas cookies and 2 glasses of champagne this holiday season. So been staying very focused as well. My past test went like this, at least for the cals.

pull ups: 17
sit ups: 74
push ups: 83
flutter kicks: 90

All of the above scores are for 2 minute maxes.
