Breakfast:

English muffin w/ egg, fat free turkey breast

Lunch:

Vegetables and rice

Snack:

Tortilla chips

Dinner:

Bagel w/ 1/2 lite cream cheese and 1/2 reduced fat peanut butter

Exercise:

Elliptical: 20 mins.

Stairmaster: 10 mins.

Everything bagel w/ half lite cream cheese and 1/2 reduced fat pb

Lunch:

Steamed rice and mixed vegetables

Snack:

Tortilla chips

Dinner:

Turkey burger

Snack:

peanut butter w/ raisins and banana chips
tortilla chips

I am going to focus on not eating after 8 pm and eating smaller meals and trying to exercise more

Thanks Lisa!

I took your advice and started getting up every morning at 5:30 to work out at the gym. At first, I thought it would make me too tired throughout the day, but I actually have more energy and don't feel sluggish in the afternoon. I think this is definiately something that I can continue doing for the long term. :)

2 chocolate chip cookies w/ fat free milk
Handful of reduced fat wheat thins

Dinner: (didn't feel like cooking)

Bagel w/ lite cream cheese

Exercise:

Statioinary bike: 40 mins.

Today I am depressed because I have gained 3 pounds since I started this diary. I don't understand what I am doing wrong, and trying to lose weight is really starting to aggrivate me. I don't know what to do.

HI there,

I am so sorry that you are frustrated, please don't forget that muscle weighs more than fat, so if you are gaining weight it could also be that you are gaining muscle because you are exercising a fair bit.
Also the time of day, when you weigh yourself can make a lot of difference. You will always weigh more in the evening. And there are more circumstances that can make your weight fluctuate...don't take it so hard and keep up the good work... don't give up!!:)
 
Thanks for the words of encouragement, Lisa. I am not going to give up! :D I have to watch my portions closer to make sure that I am not overeating. I think one of the problems with exercising, is that I get hungrier a lot more and I am able to eat more without feeling stuffed.
