Weight-Loss Countdown to New Year!

Weight-Loss
San, I agree that is too low, especially considering it includes two treats. You need more nutrition to keep things going, which might be why you are having low motivation for exercise.

Just my opinion. :waving:

I know its late, but I want to join, too. I've been doing really well, and I'm hoping it continues. Ok, New Year's is two weeks from tomorrow, and I hope to lose 3 pounds. I was at 131 this morning, so...

My Goal: 128
My Reward: I'm not sure yet. When I think of something I'll post it.

I'm going to change the weigh-in dates so I can weigh-in on New Year's Day!

Welcome and good luck!!

Yeah, I know, way too low on calories....and I should know better than that. :(

I have been trying to be good the last 2 days though, and get some more calories in, and also pay a little bit more attention to what I eat. So, I am slowly getting back on track.

And yeah, I am still losing, and I am resisting the temptation of all the yummy christmas stuff...well....so far. It's difficult though....grocery shopping is sheer torture....*lol*

Anyway, everybody else seems to be doing great, congrats to you all!! :hurray: Keep up the good work! :)

I find that when I tell myself I can't have something I want it even more. On the flip side, when I have points left over and I can indulge I don't really want it as much as I did when I couldn't have it. It's okay to indulge every once in a while and enjoying a seasonal treat one night is certainly not going to make you gain a pound. Plan a treat for yourself.

We have all this holiday stuff in the kitchen at work. It has been so hard to stay away from it. The other day I discovered I had several points left at the end of the day. I told myself that the following day I would be sure to get all of my points in by indulging in a piece of the Christmas candy in the kitchen at work. After I ate my lunch, I chose a piece of candy and savored it. I was in control and it was no problem for me to walk away after only one piece. I know this may not work every time, but it did work this time. Try it. You may be surprised at how well you can resist if you don't ban certain foods and if you plan a treat for yourself here and there.

Okay. Unsolicited advice complete. Carry on. :D

I just can't have just ONE piece, or have a certain amount of something, and then put it away. For me it's actually easier to cut something out completely than to just have a little bit. Maybe I am weird that way....*lol*
Anyway, things have gotten slightly better, still hectic, but at least nobody is ill anymore...that's something. I started to watch what I eat again, drink more....everything I should have done all along.
Still no time for exercise, even though I scrubbed my m-i-l's house today (and I mean SCRUBBED), followed by my own, so that should have burned some extra calories! *lol*

Anyway....despite everything, I still managed to lose a little:

December 1: 298.2 lbs
December 8: 296.2 lbs
December 15: 295.6 lbs
December 22: 293.6 lbs
December 29:

Hope everybody else is doing well, and making it through the holiday season without succumbing to temptation....*lol*

Oh, I completely understand that. We had a dinner party for work Saturday night and before dinner they had cocktails and drinks. They were passing around these trays with some kind of buffalo chicken wontons (despite how that sounds they smelled wonderful!) and mini hot-browns, which I LOVE! I knew that if I had even one of either appetizer I would just start popping those lil suckers in my mouth. As it was, the hostess came and asked me every two minutes if I wanted one and I just kept saying, "no thanks, no thanks." You'd think after the fifth time of turning her down she would realize, "hey, this chick just does not want my appetizers." Duh. It was certainly a test of will power. I am glad I did not eat before dinner because after dinner I could not resist a small piece of pie. Lol, gotta save calories wherever I can. :D

Good job on your loss! :hurray:

I have weigh in tonight so I will post this evening or tomorrow morning. Good luck to every one else!

Wow, Angela, San and AJ. Just 2/3 through the month and you are each down around 5 pounds. Good job. I stepped on the scale tonight and it didn't seem like it was up more then usual, so hopefully I didn't derail things too badly. :cheers2:

Merry Christmas Everyone!

Marching into the new year __1.8_____ pounds lighter

I know my ticker reads different, that is what I weigh at WW. The number posted is my home scale in my BD suit. LOL Have to fix my ticker yet. I have meeting this morning, so I will fix it then.

Wow, Monday came pretty fast

December 1 - 204.8
December 8 - 204.6
December 15 - 202.0
December 22 - 201.4
December 29 - 201.2

Although it looks good, I was not that good over Christmas, but I caught a bug sometime this weekend and have not been able to keep anything down. A bit of dehydration in there makes for a loss on paper, but not in real life. Wednesday will be the real weight.

Marching into the New Year 7 pounds lighter!

I realize today is not the last day of the month but today's weight will probably be my "official" weight for the end of the month since I do not weigh in again until next Monday. My scale at home is always off from where it is at WW and never consistently. Normally I aim for five pounds during the month and this month I exceeded my goal - and during the holidays to boot! All in all I am happy with my results this month and I am ready for the next challenge.

Thanks to everyone that has stuck around for this challenge and congrats to everyone that has lost this month. Whether it be a half a pound or ten, losing during this time of the year is not easy.

Hope all of ya have a happy new year! :cheers2:

I won't weigh again until the 4th, so I thought I would use today's weight as my official 'end of month' weight....

December 1: 298.2 lbs
December 8: 296.2 lbs
December 15: 295.6 lbs
December 22: 293.6 lbs
December 30: 290.1 lbs

Marching into the New Year 8.1 lbs lighter! :)

Looks like we're all doing quite well....yay us!!!
