Club 200 Plus

I'm totally in your boat!! What're you trying to do?
I'm 227ish and trying to get the hell out of here. Unfortunately, the past few days haven't been incredibly successful. Should we work together?
 
yea, i'm back in the 200's again...been here for a while actually, i'm up to my all time high of 232.....sigh

whats gonna work?? team work! lol (yea, i've seen too many wonderpet cartoons, lol)

Well I'm about 250 (i'm just assuming since the last time i weighed myself I was 240 but I keep eating...... ;x - i'm going out later to invest in ultimate evil - the scale :ack2:)

I'm hoping to lose about 3-4 pounds a week... eeeeeek! I know that sounds like a lot but that's my goal. I've lost more than that in a weeks time surely it can't be that hard?

I set my goal weight at 140 - because that's what the chart said I should weigh but now that I think about it I don't know that i CAN weigh 140? Lol - I really am big boned!!!! I swear!! (my mom says that she used to say that too - then she lost weight and realized she isn't big boned :( ) - Sorry I'm awfully chatty! Haha. Let's be work out buddies... on the internet :)

Just kidding, of course that is amazing!! Congratulations!!!!! Do you have a victory dance lined up for that morning you step on the scale and it read 199!?

well, i am FINALLY in the 200's! Im just in there, but in, none the less...yay!..now im going to work my way to the 100's club..lol
 
Okay I need some weight loss buddies! My other thread just up and died!

My name is Erin and I've been struggling with my weight for a long time. I just decided that I've had enough of it and I don't feel like myself anymore. Thats all it took and now I'm completely devoted to getting healthy. I'm currently eating between 800-1000 calories a day and working out almost every night. I know thats low for calories but thats just for the first 30 lbs to come off quick and then I'll do it the right way.

I'm making steady progress and I can't be happier. According to this chart I have it says if I keep going to the gym and working off lots of calories I could be out of the 200's by christmas. That would be AMAZING!

How's everyone's workouts going?

Well - I don't know much about the whole why calories matter - IF you're eating good quality food I don't know why it matters?????? My fat doc told me not to even worry about counting calories - to eat 6 small healthy meals a day and id be fine... but the health nuts are so adamant about 1400+ calories?

I dunno - I'm gonna find something that suits me - I'll try to eat about 1000-1200 a day if I go over it aint that big of deal since my BMR is 1990? Plus I'm gonna be exercising 5 days a week for an hour or two haha.

I start my first workout tonight - eeek I haven't worked out in over a month haha. I'm scared!!

It also doesn't help that the time I go in there (8pm) there's nothing but beefcakes!

Talk about some shame :(
 
I've only gone to my gym like... twice when all the machines were taken and it was busy. Every time I go, which is like 6:30 or 7 pm, there is NO ONE there. So I just hop on an elliptical and go for about an hour. Its awesome, and they have all these different tvs to watch and I have my music on my ipod so I"m in my own little world. I just ignore everyone else.

The way I think of it is, just do your thing and if they're judgemental then they'll see how much you're kicking ass when you start to get smokin hot. (hotter than you currently are of course).

I lost another pound since yesterday!

I was nervous when I first started going to the gym but most people there are not checking you out at all, and even if they are...who cares? I know a couple of people have been watching because they have commented to me about how well I'm doing, and have given me tips on increasing weights for lifting or on new lifts that they think I should be doing. So it's all good.

And if someone is looking at you and judging you...who cares? That's THEIR hangup! You are doing something for yourself, you are trying to get healthy. Who are THEY to judge YOU?

As for me, I'm 2.6 lbs away from weighing 199! When I started on July 5th, I weighed 257!

The worst thing I've bumped into is a group of men in their 60's who think ladies shouldn't lift. They didn't say anything about it, though. I just got the odd look now and then. What I really loved was lifting 5 pounds with the weird looks and grunting while the person next to me lifted 50. Ha!

did you ever see Night at the Roxuburry? When Doug was at the gym (ole scrawny ass) and he walks up to the huge beefcake (that is lifting like 100lbs) with his 10lb weight and is all "Stop hogging the mirror other people wanna work out!!"

Yeeah, that'd rock.
 
hey tamwalt! the other 200 lb thread just kinda died, didn't it?

I weighed myself this morning and I'm down 19 lbs, I couldn't be happier! I've lost almost 20 lbs in less than a month. If I can do that again I'll def be out of the 200's just in time for christmas! My goal right now is to have these jeans my sister gave me fit.

I've been limiting myself to around 1000 calories max a day. Normally between 800-1000. And then I work out almost every night at the gym after work for 1 hour on the elliptical. But I'm not just eating 800 calories of crap, I'm making healthy choices. Mostly veggies/fruits, limited bread items, healthy fats like avacados and I'm eating many small meals through the day.

This part prob won't sound very healthy but I eat a bowl of cereal at 5:30am before work, then at 8:30 or 9 I have something like oatmeal or anything really around 150 calories. Then lunch at 11am is half sandwich no cheese no dressings, cup of soup, veggies fruits whatever and then I have a snack at 1:30 of an apple or 100 calorie bag of popcorn, and then if I'm hungry a small snack at 3:30pm. I get off work at 5 and then I go to the gym and I don't eat after that last snack. Seems to be working!

oh wow!! that is crazy! i was gonna try the whole 1000 calorie thing but idk i am so cranky and ive been mostly eating around 1300-1400!!! idk why i'm getting cranky :( i honestly think i need more food ??
 
I have a friend who is JUST like that. Have you tried eating the little bits constantly through the day instead of the designated meals? It works for me really well and helps keep the hunger down. And if I get hungry I keep repeating "Nothing tastes as good as thin will feel" and that helps get through it.

Also, drink green tea when you get hungry and it'll curb it!

And now I'm off the gym before the boyfriend gets home.

Hey everyone...this group is where I fit in currently...I think I will be here long enough to get to know some folks*lol*...I weigh 230 pounds and for some reason the scale doesn't move too far from that point... All I know is I'm tired of it..I want change..but it's very hard...Well nice to meet all of you anyway and stay motivated!
 
Weighed in at 199.4 this morning!

WOOT!

Though for me it won't be official until I have 3 days of readings below 200.
