Club 200 Plus

Been reading this thread on/off past couple days... good job, and good luck to those who are still pushing hard... this really gave me some motivation to push harder, change up my meal habits and workout habits :)

gracias!

btw 254.4 as of this morning, down from 280 (that was in May), lookin at 200 by Jan 1st, and 170 with muscle shortly thereafter :).

welcome royboy and good luck, angel98 and lily any day now!!, i have actually made it to 198 woo hoo yay me!

Hey everyone,
Is there room for one more?? I just found this site...what a great idea!!
I have made a commitment to my self to get 100% serious about losing my weight. I think this site will help me!!

YAYYYYYYY!! back down in weight! This time hitting a low!!! 203.6!
WOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!

Alrighty... That's enough of that for now.

I really have to watch myself with these night classes. We always eat out beforehand, and I need to keep my calories to a minimum if I want to stay in my range and stay where I'm at right now.

Gah.

Anyway, good luck to everyone who needs it! I hope to be out of the 200's in a week or two!!!

A seven week yoga class started in my gym at the same time as my weight Watchers meeting, and since both my girlfriend and I have always wanted to try it but could never find a beginners class at a time we were both free we decided to join up.

So that means for a while I will be having my weigh-ins on a Wednesday.

Today I was down 2 1/2 lbs.

That's good, but at the same time I realise that I've had an 'extra' two days since my last weigh-in and was being weighed in the morning rather than the evening . . . but I'll take it!

HI...and yes i'm a total newbie

i was wonderin if you could update me on whats happening in this thread cause i've only been here a few days and am going to "start" trying to lose weight next week.

angel98 thanks for responding. There was alot of wisdom to be taken in in your words. My boss saw I was eating at my desk today and asked if it was Mcd's. He saw it was a tray of veggies (I've started taking good for me snacks to work incase I have a weak moment and the vending machine whispers my name). Anywho, he said, "oh its healthy stuff". Then I heard words coming out of my mouth I never thought I'd say, "Yeah, it's the healthy stuff, but I feel better when I eat this way"!!!!! I said it like I'd never heard of doughnuts! My weight is staying steady, but I don't mind. I am proud of myself for making better choices meal by meal. To all of yu who have lost CONGRADS! To all of you who haven't HANG ON - this too shall pass!

Congrats on the healthy choices, cricklefb2!! (what should I call you? :))
I've been having major luck with my weight loss, and I think I won't plateau until I'm solidly in the 100's, considering I'm at 201.7. EEK! That's so exciting!!:hurray:
I'm currently not exercising... (tsk tsk Annie!) but I seem to be dropping weight every day, even if it's by .2 lbs, I'm pretty much happy! So I don't know how fast it'll drop when I'm actually exercising... :)
I've found that shrimp are pretty high protein, for low calories if you don't use like tartar sauce or anything like that. My mom just buys the frozen ones that are cooked and thaws them (she uses them for like shrimp and lima bean salad and stuff, but I'm not that big of a fan of lima beans, so I just eat them plain.)

Delicious!

Good luck to everyone on this thread in losing what they want!
I know with everyone's help you can do it! Just stay positive!

:) Annie

Awesome! I can only speak from my experience, hon, and your words really were reticent for me.

I'm proud of you and everyone else here is too I'm sure! One choice begets another and another.:hurray::hurray:

GOOD JOB! and good luck

Its great to hear so many are losing!! It's fun sharing how every little better choice makes such a difference in us-whether it be on the scales or just our attitudes. Sometimes I get so overwhelmed by the big piicture of what I have to lose that I get discouraged, but all and all even ".2" makes me grateful and a step closer. I weighed in yesterday and the lbs. didn't change. I was upset until I realized the body fat had dropped .5. Which deep down is what I'm really after. Truthfully though I had so much going on mid week last week I didn't do much on the treadmill and a couple nights I borderlined a "bad day" on the eating side too. I DIDNT GAIN THOUGH! YIPEE!

Well this week I'm up 2lbs. Guess subconsciously my body wants to stay in the 200's forever with you guys :D

Seriously though, I knew it was going to up (and well up), I've had a very bad week in that sense including weddings, stresses, back to college woes, deadlines, timetables, missed sleep, impossible meal timetabling etc, etc.

I'm not using any of that as an excuse though just saying that I knew it would happen this week and I was prepared. I'll tell you though, it was difficult to go to that WW meeting this morning knowing I was going to be up!

Hey everyone! Great job and to everyone else...hanging in there with you! :cuss: LOL Lost less then a lb this week, but it's my pms week which means my usual 3-5lbs of water weight(and I've tested this theory--my body does not mess around and accumulates this--doh!) So, on the bad side, I look like nothing happened this week, but on the plus side, it probably did and is masked with water weight! lol..oh well, still plugging away! pastelroses, we are sitting close to one another to onederland! Pulling for you! You look great and have inspired me to put a couple pics up in a bit. I'm seeing major differences in my clothes now over the last month's worth of hitting it hard!

I have a question for all the ladies...do you all notice your endurance and energy go down during pms week? I find that my workouts are very hard during this time. I get more out of breath and feel generally more lethargic!

I'm so glad this week is almost over. My other half leaves out of town tomorrow afternoon and I've decided to take that 3 days off from working out for a mini-break. I need it what with TOM and having 4 weeks now of pushing it!

Ok, I'm too lazy to get the pics now..maybe later. :ack2::coolgleamA:

I think my weigh in this week was 209.25 btw...I think..somewhere around there. :ack2: I'm going to be below that dang 200 mark by Halloween.

So true, cricket! When I'm walking in the wee hours of the morning I think to myself sometimes--what it was like to sleep in regularly. LOL And how much further I have to go and honestly how I'm going to have to keep up some of this in order to maintain. I certainly was never and have never been one to keep my weight stabilized without both activity and portion control so I knew it was a lifestyle change. That said, though, I think to be where I want I'll be doing this probably another 6-8 months at this intensity before I can move back some to maintainence and you are right, the thought sometimes when you are particularly tired and drained and see other life obligations coming at you is sobering and maybe a little depressing. When that happens, I try to remind myself of how quickly 6 or 8 months really goes by and if I had not started at the beginning of this year, how I'd be sitting here at the same place having let 9 months of a year slide by doing nothing. Time will move whether I'm moving with it or not--that ends up being more sobering and motivational then the thought of keeping up the pace with the activity level.

And I know although people say this is a lifestyle change, let's face it, you do have to go at a certain intensity level during the build up or scale down with either cardio or strength training(depending on your goals) before you can reach a more moderate and sustainable level for maintenance. I keep my eye on that prize in the long term and allow myself more mini-breaks in between the really intense stuff. I took one over the summer where I drew the intensity back and still lost close to 20 lbs. I'm taking another one closer to Thanksgiving for the 6 weeks or so leading up to Christmas and hopefully I might drop another 5 during that time, but if I don't, I hope to maintain and then kick it up to goal in the winter.

I'm rambling, sorry about that peeps, I just want us all to succeed and stay focused. Like I said, that time will pass whether we choose to pass it eating ice cream and watching tv or being active. I really really believe when the next 6, 8, 12 months is over, every last one of us will be grateful we kept to it.

Good luck to you all!

The 200's just won't let me go! I've been floating between 200.1 and 202. It just makes me really realize that I have to step it up with my diet. I have to cut out the crap and get on the treadmill! Grr.. just makes me want to see the 100's even more!

I just noticed that if (and when) I reach the 100's, it would be the first time I've seen that number since 7th grade... wow. I just want it more now!

I hope all is going well for you guys!

Great to hear some of the inspiring stories from you great people!

:D Annie
