22 pounds away from ONEderland! My goal is to get to 199 by October 25th~ My 5th anniversary with my hubby :)

CW: July 30- 221 lbs

Goal: August 30- 214 lbs

Goal: September 30- 207 lbs

Goal: October 25- 199 lbs

I CAN DO THIS!!
 
Starting Weight: 240
Current Weight: 239 (just started)
First Goal (Jan 18th 2009): 199
Final Goal (Jan 2010): 160

My First Goal is a little ambitious, but I have a feeling the first 30 will drop alot faster than the second 40. I'm going from eating lots of junk and being a couch potato to being active and eating 1500 - 1800 calories a day.

After my first week I'm at 230. Which is about 10 lb lost, so I'm guessing the bulk of it is water weight, alot of water weight.

Is that unusual? I also know my stomach shrank. I tried to eat a hoagie on saturday (roast beef and veggies on it only, alot of calories considering what I've been eating, but it fit into my diet) and I got uncomfortably full, whereas before I could eat one and chips and still be hungry.
 
MY biggest goal is to be under 200lbs.
Once I was, 4-5 years ago and it felt GREAT to just be out of that 200 zone.
Now I got 66lbs left to go before I can celebrate again.
 
Drink Water Instead Of Sugary Crap

Honestly, just try drinking water instead of soda for a week you will see quick results.
 
Hello all - it seems I will be a member of this group for a while. I am currently sitting around the 230 mark. I can't wait to be under 200 again... I can almost taste it :)

I am running a 5K in November and hope to lose 30 pounds by then (around 2 lbs per week).

I will try to keep everyone updated on my progress... but my wife is only allowing me to weigh-in every other Sunday, because I get a little too obsessive about the scale!
 
I'd like to join the club. I'm up and down at about 256 right now. Although I just joined, I'd like to get out of this club as soon as possible :)
 
good job 1000 monkeys, where do you come from in ireland , i lived in dublin for 5 years -now im back in england.

Hello to everyone. My name is Englan. My starting weight was 235 and I'm down to 219. I can't tell you how happy I am to find other people going thru what I am. It feels good to share with other people the frustrations of dieting or lifestyle changes when you are used to eating junk food. I wish everyone luck. This club is just what I needed.

I'm from Galway. Used to live in a Town called Tuam about twenty miles from the city, but moved to the city for college.

Don't know how you found Dublin but I prefer Galway as a city personally.

It feels good to share with other people the frustrations of dieting or lifestyle changes when you are used to eating junk food. I wish everyone luck. This club is just what I needed.

Hey Englan! Welcome to the forum. My highest weight was also 235 and today I'm 218....trying hard to get out of the 200s!!

I haven't joined this club yet, but might as well while I'm here! My short term goal is to get to 199 by October 25th of this year. My long term goal is to get to between 150 and 130....anywhere in between is healthy for me. My plan in action is limiting calories to below 2,000 a day and eating high fiber, high protein, low calorie food....and to exercise every day. I like cardio workouts(dvds), hand weights, walking, swimming, biking and crunches :) Rollerblading is fun...but it's been a long while since I've done it. When it gets cooler outside I'll start that up again. Well, hopefully I'll be out of this club in November!!

I just realized that I DID join this club a couple weeks ago! ah, well.
