My Body Refuses to Leave this Club...

I went back up to 175 after I quit smoking a few weeks back, and now back to 172.6. Hopefully, I will still keep going back down again.

I'm stuck at 185. I haven't been in the 170's for YEARS. Im so going to get there and keep going!

hey I actually just broke into the 170s! Im kind of stuggling though. I kind of feel like I have hit a plateu!!! I plan to up my cardio this week to see if I can get back on the weight loss track! I would love to join!

well ive been stuck at 175 for a few weeks im not surprised at all though i havent had a very consistent workout schedule and my diet .... well lets just say im a bit more relaxed then i used to be ... im trying to get motivated to lose the rest of the weight and reach my goal i know i can do it i lost 47 pounds already i just need to really focus ...

ok so i am currently 177 and I want to be at 150 lbs by Christmas. When people ask how much more I want to lose and I say 20-30 lbs they look at me and say I already look small. I wonder if they just say that or if they really mean it. I am my biggest criticizer and so maybe they see the real me .... Could it be muscle and therefore I weigh more but don't look my weight??? I just don't understand why my number can be so high but everyone around me think I weigh at most 150lbs. Please HELP

A Word of Advice...

or maybe more...hehehe. I tend to get wordy.

I am currently 172+ lbs...give or take. The last time I was this size (US 8), I weighed in at 150 lbs. I now kickbox and am a lot more consistent with my routine and diet. I am a hell of a lot fitter than I have ever been before. I am also 40 and my hormones are a raging :)

Moral of the story is don't get too fixated on the scale. I am battling this myself and trying to be as forgiving as possible. Obsessing over the scale will only lead to one thing fast...an eating disorder. So do yourself a favor and go by the size of your clothing and not what the scale says or how you see yourself in the mirror. We tend to have a distorted view of ourselves and it's almost impossible to get past that.

When I was in my 20's, I used to think I was ok at 147, but could lose more weight. I did. I went down to 137 and still wasn't satisfied, but when I now see the pictures of myself at that weight, I want to just smack myself for not seeing how good I looked at 147 and how sickly I was beginning to look at 137.

Good luck and try to focus on loving you at any weight rather than a magic number on the scale.

I am 177 pounds now; 8 pounds to go until I reach my goal weight. After that, I'll focus on maintaining the goal weight and reducing my bodyfat to 8%.

I can say that the weight loss slowed down a little bit as I got closer to my target, but I never hit any plateaus during 61 pounds of weight loss so far. I weigh myself every day and put it in a spreadsheet column. Another column has a goal weight specified once every seven rows (once a week I reduce the number by 1kg). I graphed this, and I can see at any given time how I am doing compared to the goal line. I have always fluctuated between 2 and 3 weeks ahead of schedule. Normally, when I go from 3 to 2 weeks ahead, it means that I had a cheat day or something. When I go from 2 to 3 weeks ahead, it means that I had an entire night of "working out" ;-)

hello I just joined this site and I weigh 175...I have lost 23lbs since June and need to lose 15 more by this december or january, I am trying to join the Air Force and need to make my height and weight requirments...any advice would be great...I'm stuck I havent lost any weight this month, and I exercise everyday between 4 and 8 miles..please help

Congrats, KoolAid!!!

 You're pretty much there...awesome.

I am still stuck at 172.2, but I do feel better because I did a fat analysis and am now at 33% body fat, which is the higher end of the healthy range. I have been doing a lot more muscle building exercises and I do see how my body is becoming more lean and muscular so the fat is being blasted away. I think the scale is just hurting my pride *shrugz*

i m at 177 lbs...althouh my main goal is 140 lbs but dere is short term goal also to lose
10-14 lbs by valentines day. Fingers crossed hopefully i can hit my target...nways merry xmas ppl..
