Club 150s

Hey guys! I'm a new member, I am so happy to finally be able to say I'm in the 150's! I'm 5'6" and weighed 190 pounds this past August, but through lots of hard work I am now at 155! my end goal is 130. So my overall goal was to lose 60 pounds and I've already lost 35! It's so rewarding to know that I am already over halfway there. I've got 25 more pounds to lose and I know these are going to take much longer and will be more difficult, I've mainly been relying on a strict diet to lose the past weight but I have recently started exercising regularly and am hoping that exercising will help make shedding those last pounds easier. congrats to everyone who has reached their goals! any tips on how I can speed up the last 25 pounds I need to lose?

Well I just thought I should find this 150's club cause I am two pounds away from movin down into it! Yay everyone already here and cant wait to join you all!

Well I finally made it! Out of the 160's club and into the 150's club! Wooohoooo! I haven't posted in awhile so I shoulda made it here last week....lol I weighed in at 155.4 lbs this morning.

54 lbs lost and 26 lbs to go.

It seems like I'm in this club foreeeeeveeeer!! I can't wait to drop these 2 pounds and join the 140s :)
It's spring, I'm eating super healthy and taking advantage of these sunny days for outdoor activities! Why is my body holding on to this fat around my midsection?! I think my medications are interfering with my weight loss :(

I am officially back to it! I had some crazy work stress in the past year that knocked me out of my gym routine (leaving for work at 7am and getting home at 9pm makes working out tough. Traveled quite a bit as well, mostly domestic, but usually on the opposite coast.)
I am a big skier & ex-racer; back in early September I started a pre-ski training routine to get myself back in shape for the winter season; ended up twisting my ankle during some plyometrics (old injury rehashed); one of my ligaments pulled away and snapped a piece of my bone along with it. Needless to say, this definitely hurt my workout schedule. I eventually started my own PT routine based on prior knowledge; I skied on it all season, the boot acted as more of a cast than anything, so it didn't hurt it at all. In January moved to a true therapist to help with my balance and stability. Helped GREATLY (if you hurt yourself or need a little extra help I definitely recommend a PT or trainer).
All said and done, 1/1/2010 this year and I was back in the 150's club. I'm working like hell to get out of it and back to the 130's club. Been forcing myself to make time to workout and getting into a nice routine.
Training myself to run a 1/2 marathon on 6/5/2010 (independently, not an actual race).
By that date I would like to be 20lbs lighter.
Stepped it up and I have been hardcore training for 2 full weeks now; completed a 6.5 mile run on Saturday.
Been mixing cardio and strength training at the gym 3 days a week and running 4+ miles twice a week; long distance runs on Saturdays.
I have been working hard at cutting processed foods from my diet; anything that doesn't benefit me is out. Except the odd piece of candy here and there (I work in the industry, it's an occupational hazard). My #1 weakness is cheddar cheese.
I am on a 1000-1500 calorie diet that I have been tracking via "Lose It!" for the iPhone.
I have been creating some nice calorie deficits, but I am not seeing results on the scale.
Going to start adding Muscle Milk Light before/after my long workouts; I could use the extra protein & vitamins.
If this doesn't help I'm going to force myself to get out of bed a couple mornings a week and take a quick run before work.
Glad to be back! Good luck all!

I hover between memberships of the 160's and 150's, aiming for a fit 140--but if I look good and feel strong at 150, and my body is saying, "no, stop here," I will stop there. I was 140 for years, but a skinny-fat 140. Not sure how a fit 140 would look on me. I am around 5'10, but have a small frame (size 8 shoes, size 5 rings, 6 inch wrist). I am already considered at a healthy weight, BMI-wise, but that does not take body composition into consideration as it should.

I had a work injury that limited my activity eight months ago, and gained 10lbs and lost my (modest) muscle tone. I'm starting to get back to cardio as I heal, wish I could lift, but I can't grasp/bear weight on my right arm, so it's difficult and painful. I guess I don't gain weight terribly easily, and I seem to lose it fairly easily as well. There is plenty of obesity, heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, and cancer in my immediate family, however, and I'd like to avoid all that if I can.

It's not important how long it takes me to reach my "goal", I'm hoping slowly-goes-it will help me maintain lifetime healthy eating and exercise habits.

I am in here now - 154 lbs, 22.3 BMI. The six-pack is almost showing. This morning, I seen a raised up vein halfway down THE FRONT OF MY THIGH. I am not sure what my bodyfat percentage is now, but it must be somewhere around 9 or 10%.

I lost 66 lbs since last summer, and a total of 83 lbs since I started 1.5 years ago. I've been 99% grain and potato free for 7 months now.

Sooo, It took alot of time to accept the fact that I made it back into the group after gaining 10lbs within the last 6 months..

I refused to believe that I was putting on weight because people were telling me they didnt notice a difference.. I took my measurements last night and put on 1.5 inches on my hips... this absolutely devestated me!

After not working out for 6 months due to accepting a new job that is 3 hours away from home..the commute was just getting in the way of me getting my fitness in check.

So here I am ... from 149 - 159... I dont intend on being here long.
Ive gotten back into gear with my fitness routine and am starting to eat right again...

My routine consists of 30 minutes of running & a mix up of Jillian Michaels 30 day shred/Billy Blanks Boot camp..
My goal is to be into the 140's by June 01,2010.
Wish me luck :)

I'm in this club.....158, though really hope to be working my way out of it soon down into the 140s :) Good luck everyone!
xxxxxxxx

Hey Sunshyne, I'm 5'5.5"...does that count? :) As of this morning I am down to 152 from my initial 156-157 two weeks ago. Yiippie! Hopefully I will only be in this club for another 2 weeks tops! But, in the meantime, I'm happy to be here!

:D I am officially a part of the 150's club! I weighed in at 159.2 this morning.... so I am hardly in but I am IN! My journey into the 150's has brought me to "normal weight" category and although I am happy to be here, I won't be here too long!! On my way to the 130's club.

So, 150s club, hows it going? Doesn't look like many have posted in here for half a month. Everyones in the 140s club now?

I'm currently 157.3, been down to 151.8 but didn't stick. Time to get my butt moving!

Joining the club! My starting weight is 159.6.
