Cloverfield

Well I did know you would say something. But really, that movie was bad.

I've been waiting to use that!

Your saying that just to piss me off aren't you

Dude, are you kidding me? Did we watch the same I Am Legend? Lawrence butchered that ****. If I were Matheson I would hunt him down and donkey punch him.

He completely missed the point. Hihi metanarrative? No. I'll just cut out anything interesting and make it yet another crap zombie survival movie, because that's what the people want, right?

**** you, Lawrence. Go talk to Rodriguez, you low-rent, illiterate whore; I hope you die in a fire en route.

I Am Legend was basically everybody got infected, dog died, people showed up, Will died.

What about the fact that he stated that the "zombies" were incapable of any human behavior. Yet they moved that manequin and set the same trap for Will that he used on them. But they never explored it any further. Then they were obviously cooperating as a team under the leader "zombie" but nothing further came out of it.

Poorly written IMO.

I am legend is what it is...cant beleave everyone thinks cloverfield sucks so bad!? It was shaky and kinda anoying at times but thats the whole point. It was kinda strange how the camera guy was being so sarcastic the whole time in the situations he was in...i admit him cracking jokes kinda pissed me off and i would rather them just be freaking the **** out the whole time because if your gonna do a pretend real camera movie make it seem as real as posible. Way better then Godzilla and much freakier. Godzilla was just a big lizard that liked to eat fish and was looking for fish in a city  I personally loved the movie. It was far more unique then most movies these days...and i left the cinema wanting to know more about it all but nope....i will never know :( Oh and the effects where ****?????????? LOLOLOL no the effects where just as good as any other movie

Book spoiler and possible movie spoiler, so if you care you might not want to read.

I have not seen the movie, It's been about 10 years since I read the book but this is what i remember the premise of the book to be:

In the book, the main character is a survivor of a virus outbreak, and during the daytime the "vampires" are sleeping, so he goes around and kills them. However, it turns out there are people who are sick but still retain their human attributes, but they are incapacitated during the day just like the regular vampires. The main character doesn't know this, so is killing them too. Eventually they get him, tell him what he's been doing, and he allows them to kill him because of what he has done. "I am legend" is refferring to the fact that he has become a legend that people fear just like the vampires themselves.

Is this not what the movie is like?

Nope. I've read the book too, and they are completely different.
But I still enjoyed the movie alot.

From what I've read that sounds very annoying about the movie is they worry more about the stupid relationships going on than the actual monster.

Is this not what the movie is like?

Not at all. Which is what I was complaining about. Almost all the suckage can be traced to deviations from the original plot, of which there are many. None of them make any damn sense except as stupid Hollywood "beautification" bull****. Take the dog, for example. (Not gonna explain that because I don't want to spoil).

Not really. The movie would've been much better if it had followed that storyline to a T.

I thought the movie was just 'ok'. But apparently I forgot the part where he dies at the end. Maybe my copy was different....it was downloaded from a buddy so it might have been a 'screener' with a different ending.

Is it better then I Am Legend at least? Cant believe I wasted money to see that.
Me neither!

I almost walked out halfway through it.
