CB's Progress Report

i wish you luck with the needy dog lol
Glad your planning to stay on track this weekend, and its great that your stopping on the way there to get yourself some healthy stuff(i know what you mean about other ppl food, my parents are the same junk everywhere!)
Quads sore woohoo good pain....means muscles are growing way to go! ;)

Okay, I'm at my friend's house and sticking to the plan is harder than I anticipated. The amount of wonderful (yet terrible) foods and drinks they have in the house is staggering. Worse yet, to thank me for taking care of the dog they've made me some kind of Italian sausage casserole! They even left a note saying, "We have too much food in the house. Please eat!"

I suppose it's my fault for not telling them that I’ve quit drinking and that I’m trying to lose weight. But dang this is going to be tough. I've almost reached for something naughty on about four occasions thus far. I have a feeling though that if I make it to Sunday without derailing my plan I'll be VERY proud of myself. I think that thought will keep me on the straight and narrow. And no, I will not be eating that damn casserole. I've got my black beans and rice cooking as I type this. That will last me for 3 meals at least, and it's usually rather filling.

If things get really bad I’ll just come here and scream about it. :)

On the plus side it sounds like you have some really good friends, im glad it is you there though lol I don't no if I would have the strength this week to be that good.

Whew, so far so good. The only thing I gave in on was one small piece of beef jerky, but I can live with that.

Today's Plan:

B. Slim Fast Optima Shake
S. Cup of baby carrots
L. Black Beans and Rice
S. Celery
D. Chicken breast and some type of veggies

Exercise:
- Half hour on the stationary bike
- Lat Pulldowns
- Seated Row
- DB Row
- Back Extensions (if I can find a good way to do them with what I have in the house)
- Tricep Pushdown
- Overhead Extensions
- Lying Tricep Extensions + close grip bench press

Doing good Christian! glad you stuck with your plan this weekend...and the beef jerky isnt all that bad when you think about it :)
When you say back extensions do you mean like hyper extensions where your bent over something and lift your back? if so then i do mine on an exercise(swiss)ball with my feet under the bed so i dont roll away lol.(if that not what you meant then nm lol )

Well, I'm home from the weekend of temptation and I'm afraid things didn't go as well as planned. I didn't order a pizza or anything but I did snack on some of the foods in their house yesterday. Oh well, I didn't have that planned cheat on my B-day so I'll just count this as my B-day present. :)

Other than that I'm a in an excellent mood today. I've been waiting and waiting for an old professor of mine to return a reference form that I sent him about a month ago. It was getting to the point where I wasn't sure if he'd respond or if he even received my letter, and I didn't have another reference lined up to take his place. Fortunately, his letter arrived today. Now I'm just waiting on one more letter (which I know is on the way) and I can mail in the remainder of my grad school application package. Yay!

Okay, I need a nap. That dog kept me up too much at night.

CB, I've been reading through your diary and you are off to a great start! Hope you find your way back to the forum soon, would like to see you're keeping with it. I love getting little tips here and there, and one tip I will always remember, is if you made too much food Don't worry about throwing it away! It's a hell of a lot easier to throw it away than to add it to your body and then trying to work it off. (got that tip from Jennifer). Hope all is well!
