Thanks, Llama. I'm not missing it at all. We decided to go visit A & M on Monday as he's feeling a little better 2 weeks after his 5 weeks of radiation & chemo. I rang M yesterday & she said it would give him a bit of a boost. I just ordered a carton of NA cider as we tried it when we visited R & C & I liked it.Great to hear you got some good news from R. And great to hear you aren't missing alcohol!
I did well yesterday, without the protein drink (only minus 1g!).Yes protein can be such a challenge when aiming for deficits! That sounds like a good plan to boost protein levels.
Thanks, Liza. It's a fun way to get exercise, but Archie will have to learn to get out of my way.way to go on the dancing!!
You're right, M. Our winters are never harsh & we do live in a temperate rainforest area. We do not have any hard freezes, thank goodness!I wasn't sure, but it sounds like Cate lives in a more temperate rain forest area, like where I lived in Northern California. There we worried about getting enough rain before hard freezes because drought-stricken plants have a hard time in hard freezes, and the trees topple in the wind if their roots aren't well established. We lived in the mountains, and mudslides were a constant worry, too. Where I live now, a hard winter means many hurricane alerts and flash flooding, but I did grow up in the northeast with the traditionally snowy hard winters with feet of snow dumping down.
I love dancing & must do some every day, even for a little while. I'll try to get enough gumption to ring the agent after the weekend. So glad you are enjoying dancing, and that R is doing well again! Are you still going to casually look at the house for sale? We used to say we were just casually looking so the realtor didn't pressure us or get their hopes up. Hope you enjoy your lazy day!!
Thanks, Em. Arch deserves a great big walk & an outing. The house I'm thinking about looking at is about 50 metres from the off-lead dog park in town. That's great about R's good news. Enjoy your trip to town with Arch.
I got the Nutbush today. I'll adjust the turn, in the interests of not falling over. I practised it to about 4 songs at different speeds & it clicked. That all sounds good. Dancing is good for so many things! Cardio, balance, mood, even cognitive health if you're trying to learn new choreographies.
It's a great park. Archie loves it & I have met some lovely people there. I think I'll be brave & ring about the house on Monday. And a snakeless off-leash dog park would be great to have close.
lol that made me laugh imagining how that would be going with him getting under your feet with it!Thanks, Liza. It's a fun way to get exercise, but Archie will have to learn to get out of my way.
I've got the song in my head now & I was even doing the steps in my head last night whilst watching TVYay for conquering the Nutbush! We still have trouble with the turn, too! We'll probably start adding more dancing onto our routine now.
The thought of selling/buying still scares me but I will start going to open homes. That would be so great if the house turns out to be the one for you!! If not, do you ever go to open houses to just casually look? We used to do that for remodeling ideas, and also found it's a great way to meet realtors in action and shop around for the right one for us.
Thanks, Liza. It felt good. Hopefully, he'll get used to it & learn to stay back. I'm starting to think it's time to get a smart TV & an internet plan with lots of data. I'm not one to replace things before they have to be replaced & it goes against the grain. I am also on an austerity drive.lol that made me laugh imagining how that would be going with him getting under your feet with it!
Nice one on getting the Nutbush down!
That sounds like the best solution Cate.I spoke to G about it & then rang the hospital & explained my reasons for cancelling surgery. The lovely woman I spoke to in admissions said she could postpone it for a few months to give me more time to think about it & discuss it with my doctor & my cardio. I feel so relieved.
