OK tom, yes you BIG TOM! you need to sweat, at least this once. somewhere other than between your fingers.

Let's go with 15 reps as a start.

So- that is
15 burpee, 14 burpee, all the way down

next set
14,13,12 etc

next set
13,12,11 etc.

ME and YOU big boy! It's a fitness damn board, let's rock and roll.

ha i did 20, I'm not that manly yet... but enough that I finished the first challenge and get to wear the title of "being a man now." It will be a while until I can move on to level 2, that first part destroyed me.
 
Right i didnt manage to do it! Reason being i came home from the gym. Was eating my tea then i remembered!!!!! I wasnt doing it after food because id of straight been sick.

I really do promise ill get it done. Im gonna try tonight!
 
yes I did it with an opening set of 20, and was surprised that the time went by so slow. I was really rushing in the beginning and that set me back in strength/endurance for the later sets-- hmmmmm this may be a theme with me in racing too... start tooo fast and just survive the finish.

anyhow-- enough self eval-

MY CHEST FEELS LIKE IT IS SPLITTING OPEN! it may be from popping up too high when transitioning from downward squat into the pushup position. I AM NOT GOING TO TRY ANOTHER ONE TO SEE WHAT HURTS and WHY

the tips of my toes are kinda worn off from the carpet too.

next time I will go for the 30 start count and just have an agreesive controlled pace. I "think I can" do this one.

p.s. I agreed to the 15 start amount (even though I did 20) to try and be one with and encourage Tom. But the lil flapper didn't even break a sweat so- I will do the 30, he will do nothing, and he doesn't even qualify to be my bitch~! :D

I also did the math, but came out with different numbers...

20 sets = 210 burpees

25 sets = 325 burpees

30 sets = 465 burpees

I even went super-nerd on it and put it into Excel to double-check. Anyone else get these numbers instead? I'm wondering if I'm envisioning the exercise wrong?

To clarify, you begin with 20 burpees, then 19, then 18, and so forth until you end with 3, then 2, then 1, correct?

I might have to give these a shot this weekend. I just had my General Fitness Assessment yesterday, so I'll report back with a 20-set time (regardless of the 30 minute time limit -- I'm finishing these bad boys no matter what!) and this will give me yet another field in which to improve.
 
Right im not full of sh1t, iv just tried it.....after doing a hard session at the gym on my chest!

I did 12 and i failed, its the pushup part i just cant manage because my arms are like jelly from lifting. I collapse and i want to do it properly lol.

I know ill get through it but i need to do it on a day where i dont do any pressing at the gym..

I WILL DO IT!

Man i struggle with 50 pushups, im not complaining but just adding a few facts there :D

pushups.

50 pushups is hard for someone who is 220lbs +, plus with long arms, plus who isnt the best presser aswell!!

But c'mon, i bet MOST ppl on this forum cant do 210 pushups. Theres noway.

Im old, many, many years past my prime, and can (because I willed my inner desire) pushout 107 pushups in one go, resting only once in the uppright position and keeping tension, this is under 2 minutes, chest to floor (I havent actually timed it, so I am guessing)

Morale of the story. A younger person in their prime (given same type of fitness level) would (I assume) be able to do more, primarily due to youth.

your math can be right :p even if it is wrong we can go with it, but I'm sure it is totally correct! TOTALLY....

SO- the question is how many burpees did you do, not how many calculator/keyboard buttons did you push. hehehehhe;)

Did the 20 sets today in 25 minutes, improved my time by 4 minutes from the first time. C'mon guys damn, get this thing done. Tony, lets see it big guy.

Oh and Sara, if you see this welcome back/ I challenge you to beat level one. You waste enough time on this forum being in arguments, and I know you can lift. Show me what you've got.
