Weight-Loss Breakfast - what do you have?

Weight-Loss
For those of you who eat bread, what kind do you eat.

Please list the brand and why you eat it.

I like 100 whole grain breads made with flaxseed, etc.

when I do eat it, I tend to get ezekiel bread. It's a sprouted wheat bread. Pretty high in fiber, low in the bad crap and even makes pretty good toast. Why? some health food nut I was with got me hooked on it, and I like it.

about the only time I don't eat that is when I have some good ol home style fried kraut, then I have to have pumpernickel with butter. That's just how it is.

I have become addicted to plain yogurt. I used to think it was gross, but lately I've been craving it ALL the time. I'll eat plain yogurt with some cereal & fruit for breakfast, and then want plain yogurt with lunch, plain yogurt as a snack. I'm not sure why-- I have a weird palate. I used to love bagels with cream cheese, but I hardly ever eat that anymore because bagels are so caloric and have such little nutritional value. The taste of plain yogurt is similar to cream cheese to me; I've grown to love it.

Is this bad?? What are the consequences of eating too much yogurt?

I typically have a peanut butter sandwich and a piece of fruit or some juice. I think the protein boost in the morning helps me get through. I usually eat about 6am, then have a small snack at 10 to hold until lunch.

My standard is Greek yogurt and I throw in 1/2 cup of dry rolled oats and about a tbs of ground flax seed. I have to get breakfast into my toddler so this one is very quick and easy.

For variety once or twice a week I have 2 eggs with a slice of whole wheat toast/Smart Balance light and coffee, and it kicks butt, lol.

I am not a breakfast food kind of gal (unless it's waffle house at 2am, LoL, but were not doing that anymore).

I use to be really into smoothies (frozen berries and soy milk) but I guess I just over did it because I no longer have the drive to make 'em in the morning.

More recently, if it's a work day I will have a piece of fruit and some green tea.
I love cooking, so on the weekends I just make whatever strikes my fancy, rice noodle stir fry with eggs, quinoa risotto, or just cook up some fresh veggies. Basically whatever I would make for lunch or dinner.

Monday thru Friday- 1 cup of Quaker oats, bluberries and packet of splenda
Saturday and Sunday- onion and cheese egg white omelet. (not for nutritional reasons, I prefer the taste of egg whites better), Turkey bacon

This morning I had

10.3 ounces of potato, nuke whole for 5 mins, in water. (1 potato diced)
6 egg whites
16 grapes

I made an omlette out of the potato and egg whites using Pam and a bit of water. I spiced it up, just how I like it and pigged out! Total breakfast calories 334.70, Carbs 55.60, Fat 0, Protein 26.58

I eat in a 5 hour window from 10:30 am to 3:30 pm. After that, I only intake non-caloric drinks. I eat non traditional meals, mostly plain fresh foods with no frills except spices. I take vitamins and calcium twice a day.

I know a lot of people who have a sandwich or something like that for breakfast - a slice of bread and turkey or ham or cheese ... or some combination.
There's no rule that says you have to limit yourself to "breakfast foods" in the mornings.
I often have omelets or frittatas for dinner, too.

My breakfasts keep changing

First I ate oats - about 270 cal worth. Then I got bored with that so I started eating two small sausages and a poached egg between two slices of (weight watchers wholemeal) bread - about 260. Then couldn't make it in time for work so I just ate a ham and cheese sandwich - 200 ish. Then I went back to porridge (halved the amount) and added a banana - 270. Was too filling so I switched back to the sandwich, detoured through some grilled cheese options, and am back on porridge but less - about 180 cal.

I don't eat breakfast until about 10am though and I don't eat before that.

I usually have:
- oatmeal
- a bagel with butter
- cereal with milk

Usually I try to stick with oatmeal though. Quaker makes individual portioned packets so you just add a little water and milk and pop it in the mircowave for a minute. It looks and tastes just like stove-cooked :)

I have 3 weetbix, 2% fat milk and a teaspoon sachet of sugar (I like these because it controls how much I put on) I need sugar because they are bland otherwise.

And in winter I love porridge.

I eat porridge. Theres a brand called "Dorsets" who have large whole oats in 30gram sachets, they do 3 "flavors" which have nothing added other then dried or freezedried fruit and then theres a plain version. I like them as they are premeausred (I don't trust myself and my slap-dash-happy hand measurements! and I like that there is something to chew!

I have that made with water and a pinch of salt (work out to around 100kcals) and a cup of tea with skimmed milk. I always make time for breakfast unless I've had a bad night or sleepless night and just can't stomach anything, then I'll just have a cup of tea and go, buy a packet of rice cake bites on the way to wherever I am going for around 100kcals.

A typical breakfast for me would be a bowl of serial or oatmeal, a fried egg and a cup of coffee.

Cerial, porridge or 2 pieces of toast for me usually, never hungry when I wake up for some reason, but still force myself to eat something.

cereals and milk.

bread ,egg and coffee.

but if i dont have time to sit around, i just eat granola bars on my way to work.
