Day 40

Meal 1 - 3 egg and cheese, salsa, mushroom, spinach and tomato omelet
Meal 2 - 1 cup low fat cottage cheese and 1 low carb yogurt
Meal 3 - shredded buffalo chicken on cauliflower rice and some grapes
Meal 4 - a salad with smoked salmon

Days become weeks and weeks become months, with time and consistency you will achieve great things.

Day 41

Meal 1 - 3 egg and cheese, salsa, mushroom, spinach and tomato omelet
Meal 2 - chicken vegetable soup
Meal 3 - 1 cup low fat cottage cheese and a low carb yogurt
Meal 4 - a pack of tuna and some grapes

Meal 3 - mayo panko crusted chicken breast and mixed veggies

Day 43

Meal 1 - 1 cup low fat cottage cheese and 1 low carb yogurt
Meal 2 - a couple of chicken tenders
Meal 3 - chicken vegetable soup

6 weeks into this and the scale tipped at 277.6 pounds. That makes it a 3.2 lb loss for the week and a total of 31 lbs so far. I see the numbers are finally starting to slow down but that was to be expected. I know if I put in more time at the gym they would improve some but work has been taking up most of my time. Still no excuse why I can't squeeze in at least 3 days, will have to focus on that. I know once I get into a routine it will become habit. As for diet all good, 6 weeks so far and have been able to stay away from bread, potatoes and pasta along with junk food and soda. My neighbors told my wife yesterday that they noticed I have lost weight so that is a good thing. Looking forward to week 7 and hoping to get more gym time in and getting down in the low 270's.
 
When you feel like quitting remember why you started.

Meal 1 - 3 egg and cheese, mushroom onion tomato salsa omelet
Meal 2 - baloney spread
Meal 3 - salad and a pack of tuna
Meal 4 - 1 panko crust chicken breast and some broccoli and cauliflower

True, about the slow-down to be expected - but you are so well-prepared, psychologically for that that I expect you'll just march on regardless! Plus, the unsolicited observation from your neighbour must be a boost, coming just at the right time. Great! :)

Day 45

Meal 1 - 3 egg and cheese, mushroom onion tomato salsa omelet
Meal 2 - stir fry vegetables with mussels
Meal 3 - 1/2 of a Wendy's buffalo chicken salad with low fat dressing (no croutons)
Meal 4 - 1/4 cup of mixed nuts and an orange

Current weight - 276.4
Total loss - 32.2 lbs
 
It does not matter how slowly you go, as long as you don’t stop

Day 46

Meal 1 - 3 egg and cheese, mushroom onion tomato salsa omelet
Meal 2 - Chicken breast with steamed broccoli, cauliflower and carrots
Meal 3 - 1/2 of a Wendy's buffalo chicken salad (no dressing or croutons)
Meal 4 - 1/4 cup of mixed nuts and an apple

Suck it up and one day you won’t have to suck it in.

Meal 3 - baloney spread and an orange

Meal 3 -1/4 rack of bbq ribs and mixed veggies
Meal 4 - 1/4 cup mixed nuts and a salad
Snack - an apple

Total loss - 34.8 lbs

I really like that one! Its a decision I have always understood, but too often gone the wrong way with. Well put!
