Weight-Loss Biggest Loser Show Watch along Challenge Starting 01/19/10

Weight-Loss
Hello everyone! Hope all are having a great week. I am doing alot better this week my back has gotten better so now I can exercise again. Yea!! I would like to be under 300 pounds by the finale but I am smart enough to k now that isn't going to happen so I will set my goal as 18 pounds. That will put me at 320 pounds. Thats probably setting it to high but I think i'll stick with that.
Congratulations to everyone that lost this week and to those that didn't keep your chin up you'll do better next week.:grouphug:

GO WHITE TEAM!!!!

Keep on keeping on!!!

Hmm, think I'll make my 6 week goal 6lbs. Not gonna win me any competitions, but at that point I think I'll be almost ready to stop losing and start maintaining so I think that will feel like winning to me anyway!

Great goal Boslo!! You are so close to your goal! I'm glad you are in the competition. Keep at it!

With how slow my weight loss is, my goal will also be 6 lbs. If I get more, great! lol... I'm just not going to have my goal be 2 lbs because that obviously rarely happens.

Great Goal Risty! That's a pound a week, you got this!! I bet you get a couple more too. You are a machine!!

weight loss for me seems to be going in the wrong direction. i know mine is my thyroid. since i got laid off there fore i have no more insurance . but i was busy this past week looking for alternative . so keep fingers crossed it will work . cause i have no energy no more, not sleeping right any more. and excercise is non exsiting for the moment just way to tired. but still my goal for the finally well i want to be 299 but probly not going to happen.so i will say 317:toetap05:

Hang in there girl!! Don't give up the fight! I know how frustrating it is to see the scale going in the wrong direction, we all do.

I found this article on natural cures for the thyroid: Perhaps it might help you. Amazing to read the following:

" There are several ways to support the thyroid naturally, including supplementation with kelp extracts, sea vegetables, or dessicated thyroid (usually bovine sourced). Sushi and other foods which are high in natural iodine are recommended, especially for those identified as having an under-active thyroid (hypothyroid)."

"It has been suggested, in books such as Langer & Scheer's "Solved: the Riddle of Illness," that between 70 and 90 per cent of North Americans suffer from minor to severe thyroid imbalance - which can cause weight loss or gain, dry skin, or depression.

The high incidence of thyroid disfunction may be due to our heavily processed diet, heavy metal buildup, exposure to x-rays or other electromagnetic radiation, or - but the thyroid, sometimes called our "master gland," is one of the most common weaknesses of the human body today. Thyroid imbalance almost certainly contributes to the numbers of people who are overweight or who suffer from eating disorders.

Interesting perspective!!

Great Goal Angel! You can dooooooo it!!

Anyone have any goals they would like to make for the finale on BL??

We are heading in to the final stretch of this competition teams! I know for some (like myself) weight loss has slowed down, but now is the time to step it up and renew our vigor!!

Some of you have been bringing it every week!! Great job to ya!! I'm so proud of everyone!!

I'm estimating we have just a little over 6 weeks to go on this challenge?!

Let's see, there are 10 contestants left.... So what is that? About a 6 weeks before they vote off 6 more, and the remaining 4 go home and work off the last few pounds. So I am estimated about 7 weeks left??

If anyone knows the finale date, let me know!!

What's your goal??
:bigear:

I would really like to lose 12 lbs by then. I guess thats about 2 lbs per week. Lets see if I can squash that goal

I'd be happy if I could reach the 160's!! I'm tired of being stuck in the 170's. I'm fixing to be kicking it into high gear! I got the P90X workout system and I will be doing it religiously everyday! I just really have to work on my eating. It's horrible and I've got to learn how to cut down on the snacking!

Alright!!! :D! Way to motivate me with that list there!! ...I almost forgot my own goal! ;)! hahaha!! :D!

serious. :reddevil:

haha!

Thanks MJB for motivating us all.

My six week goal :

March 20: 89.?kg/196ish lbs
-1kg/2.2lbs per week.
Loss goal: -6kg/13.23lbs

So my goal is 83kg/183lbs which would bring me out of the obese category.
If that doesn't work then I need to be down AT LEAST 2.6kg to get to the top end of the overweight category. :)

Thanks MJB for motivating us all.

:)

Thank you too! You all help motivate me to keep going as well. We are a family here it feels to me, all taking the steps towards fitness. I have really enjoyed watching all the accomplishments that have taken place in this challeng.e

I agree...thank you so much for posting the stats. When I saw I had to lose 1.3 lb per week it made it more real. Thank you so much for everything you do for us.

:iagree: Thank you so much MJB, for keeping us motivated - and to everyone else in this challenge, it's so much fun PUSHING IT!!! with you guys :) Especially on days I just feel ughhhh and don't want to work out AT ALL...seeing one of you post a mini success story just gets me up and moving again!

I met my most recent personal mini goal of dropping below 225 this weekend - would LOVE to reach 215 by the finale but I really don't see that happening...I've been doing everything "right" these past few weeks but my weight loss has just plateaued :( So, we'll see...just because I don't know if I can make it doesn't mean I'm not going to push for it! :flame:

My goal for 6 weigh-ins for now will be 254. Talk about a S-T-R-E-T-C-H goal! Going to have to have a consistent 3-4 pounds a week to attain it, so lets DO IT!

Well I've been eating at maintenance this week (sorry guys but I had three events and it seemed like the right time) so I will probably not lose but haven't gained either.

And now for the weigh in....

I'm down two pounds to 139 this week.. Wahoo!!! Finally under 10 stone :)

Good luck to everyone else weighing in...
