Well i was going to get into strength training, but i realised i cannot back squat properly yet without crippling myself! (lack of him mobility etc)

So im back to training for hypertrophy, so back to my 4day split routine.

And thats about it, what about you manc lad?
 
my short term is to cut down to 170...by the 15th of june (holiday) after that start a bulk in september for six or seven months, i wanna be as big as you haha;;;;..it should`nt take too long as i can squat;);):love2:

Had to start with this since the squat rack was taken up.

BB Lunges

I was tired today, low carbs. I love lunges, they are a killer!

Seated Curls Supersetted with Extensions

Gonna take some measurements in a couple of weeks. My arms before were 15.5" flexed so we'l see!

Then ran 2.33 miles in 20 mins. Good times.

I have an new set/rep scheme I am going to test out. Here's how it will work. I will use flat DB press as an example. Do one warmup set, as usual. Then, identify whatever weight I can typically use to do 2 sets of 5. Instead, grab the weight one size up. In this case, I would use 80s, but I will use 85s instead. The first time I do it, sure, I might only get 3 (more or less) on each set, but the goal is to really lift heavy and eventually, get to the point where I can do both sets for 5 legit reps. Then I will step up to 90s, and probably only get 2-3 reps on each set, but work my way back up to 5 each. Then, follow with 2 sets of 8, strenuous weight, but do-able.

Went to the northeast NABBA bodybuilding competition yesterday, i had 3 mates competing in it and they did f**king brilliant.

2 of my mates were in the 'under 21' category and came first and second! And my other mate was in the 'first timers' category and came second!

It's inspired me more to get serious about bodybuilding. If i wanted to ever compete with them though, steroids would be the way forward lol.

I haven't been losing weight for about a month, just been sittin at 205. I think I will crack down below 200 just a bit and then start eating more and trying to up my lifts.

Anyhow, you still put up some damn good pressing numbers. 176 pounds using the DBs is pretty damn good. Keep at it dude! Tonight I am going to do deadlifts, OH Press, and BORs.
 
Hey Tom, where is your bench now? You're well over 100 kg aren't you? I am (finally) close to that elusive goal. Maybe in another month...
 
Cheers for droppin in g8, i can bench 100kg but i've only ever got 2 reps lol. I've not tried it for a while. Never tried doing any more than 100 either. I'd be happy if i could get 5 reps with it though!

Where are you at now with your bench?
 
Haha, my benching has gone down the crapper. For awhile there, I could do a set of 5 @ 205. I reckon, no more. Anyhow, got in a quick lift yesterday, didn't lift heavy on squats, just did a couple things.

If your bench is down, I would guess its because you (both of you) are benching too far from your 1RM.

BTW, im still training hard. ATM im cutting, i was 222lbs roughly when i started and the last time i checked i was 216lbs. I've finally sacrificed my calories intake to lose fat :D I dont like the weaker feeling though! :(

Glad to hear you are still working it BigT, that's what I suspected anyways. Thats great that you are down to 216, pretty sweet man! But yep, I know the feeling all too well, it sucks...the weakness you get with not eating as much. It's funny how that happens, ya know? It set in just like 3 or 4 days into my cut. Ahh well, just keep at it!
