I will set daily goals such as counting my calories and trying not to eat late at night. I will learn what a proper portion size is and try to adjust my portions accordingly.

I will try to get on the tread mill 5 days a week starting at 30min a day. I will try to get exercise during my lunch hour at work.

My support team is my husband, sister and co-workers and you.

I would love to lose more, but know that realistically I should only lose 2 lbs a week. I have short term goals but my first long term goal is to lose 50 lbs of fat and gain muscle by Memorial weekend, my birthay.


I hope to be on here 1 year from today at a fit 125 lbs.
 
everyone is in a hurry to lose weight! trust me, if you lose it any faster than 2 pounds a week you will gain it back and then some.


and it should not be i will "try" to get on the treadmill at work.....
I WILL get on the treadmill 5 days a week starting with 30 min each session and slowly build up to an hour. (longer time burns more fat)
 
Thanks Wonderwoman :D . I just got done with the treadmill. 30min 227cal and 31carbs. Now that the sun is going down I have to really try hard to watch my calories. Hot tea will help.
 
Oh no, now we have two Bailey's! My real name is Bailey too :D Good thing I go by a different name here or there'd be some real confusion!

Good luck with your weightloss goals! WW is right, the faster it comes off, the faster it comes back!
 
Bailey is not my real name. It is the last name of a good friend I had when I was in the army. I have always liked that name.

I will be back later tonight. I have to go to a wrestling booster club meeting. Our Jr wrestling team will be hosting a meet and I just love to keep stats so I will be more than happy to volunteer my time.

Just being around those wrestlers makes me want to lose weight. I told the coach he should have a drill class just for us wrestling moms who want to lose weight. :eek:
 
2 lbs a week is spose to be good but I'll admit that I wanted to lose 3.5 per week..lol... higher expectations than should be I guess :eek: Oh well, this is a great place to talk to people... hope ya like it here :)
 
Thanks Jess. Its easy to be excited at the beginning. I will still need to be here when the going gets tough.... I shared this web site with 2 great girls at work and hope they will join up.

10pm hopped on the treadmill tonight after my other son (14) got done. 30min again 227cal 31carbs. Good thing because I had 3 cups of popcorn 400 cal.:eek: ouch.

Late night is a weak time for me because I am usually out of the house by 7am and back by 8p and I want to look in my cubbords and fridge. I am getting better at stacking good snacks like carrots, pudding. I have been craving creme cheese and pickle sandwiches. Probably not the most nutritious but i am sure it could be less calories than a loaded peanut butter sand.

Anyway, I still think I am ok on my calories today even with the popcorn.

Just dropped in to take a look at your diary.

With you exercize it would be good if you could add some weight training to your workout in addition to your treadmill to build your muscle.

Nice to meet you. I was looking for your diary, too and got sidetracked. Lots of good things to read.... I think its neat you are from Australia. :cool: Seems like you like a lot of sports. Coach says Judo is good for wrestlers to take and my younger also plays soccer. Are your children in sports yet or are they younger?


Good idea about the weight training. We have a universal at home (1 man and 2 boys) in our basement but I havent gotten on it yet. I really need to to tone up. Since my hubby used to box we also have a heavy bag and a speed bag I should be punching around. Just need to find the time and energy. Maybe if I find the time the energy will come. I think I need a clone. lol :D

I spent over 10 year competing seriously in judo and was aiming for olympic selection before i had a serious knee injury, and later was a reserve for the national broomball team before moving away from easy access to an ice rink. I gained weight when i stopped being able to compete in sport. Now i am the hooker (a position not a profession lol) for the local woman rugby union team and the fat is slowly dropping away :).

all three of my boys play sport, usually soccer in winter although my middle son played rugby league last winter as well as gymnastics they all play cricket in summer.

Well lets see..she needs motivation and time to do weight lifting. Well, we might be able to provide motivation but you'll have to sneak in the time. :D Ever try getting up earlie rand working out in the morning? That has worked well for me in the past. Up before the rest of the house is moving. Muscle really helps you burn mor efat etc. So.. hopefully if you think of it that way it'll be more motivating. Plus its funt o see the definition in your muscles down the road.. ! And many men think its quite sexy too!! So hope that motivates you a little! ;)

I am typically up late and out of the house at 7am so it is hard for me to get up earlier than 6am, but it is all a matter of determination and trying to get to bed earlier. As you can see its 10:45 pm right now so I better not spend a whole lot of time here, which I could easily do....


Have you heard of Covert Bailey? (Another reason for picking my name) He wrote the fit or fat woman and he talks about how women with a well toned body will turn a mans head. Although, I just want to turn my hubbys head, it sure will feel good to fit well into some of my old sexier clothes.

Think I am ok on my eating. I have to finish my water yet. Probably about another 20 oz then I will have some bedtime tea.

I am off work tomorr so after I take my son to school get home I will clean my house, do laundry and find time to work out. Maybe tomorr I will be up to adding one of my aerobic tapes or lift some weights.
 
I have to tell you this just cuz it makes me happy- you can buy popcorn in 100 calorie single serving bags :) and its good to! So... yeah, little bit off topic, but good nonetheless lol
