Weight-Loss August Goal Challenge

Weight-Loss
Hello Challenge friends :).

I've been MIA lately because I've got a lot going on right now. So I've stopped cal counting for the moment and haven't had time to exercise. I gained 3 pounds since last month and that is a bit disappointing, but what goes up MUST GO DOWN, right??! I'll get back into the swing of things soon again and hope to at least get back to my ticker by month's end??

How are you all going with your plans?

Hey guys, this is my first post but Ive been reading this forum for a long time and I'd just like to say you guys are all very inspirational:) I'd really love to join this challenge. I went from 175 to 163-165 over the month of July and have stayed there since. My goal WAS to get to 149 by September 4 (first day of school) but I'd be happy with 155 now. Anyways my goals for the end of this month are:

1) drink atleast 82 ounces of water (I read somewhere that your supposed to drink half your weight in ounces)
2) get into the 150's!!
3) be 155-157 by September 1st
4) to not weigh myself till next Friday the 17th

Tomorrow, we're having a dinner for my birthday which was last week so I hope i can survive all that cake:eek2:

Hi Angelica, Good luck on avoiding to much cake. I know how birthday's can be. my son's and my mil b days are on the same day but we celebrate them and different days so they both can have their special day. Of course that was all before i started watching what i ate and working out each day. Good luck on reaching your goals.

Thanks Heather! Yes today was incredibly hard and I ended up giving in and having a couple slices of cake. I should have stopped myself but it looked soo good. Oh well tomorrows another day and I WILL stay on track this time.

Mmmmmmmmmmmm cake.

I've lost half of the 3 pound gain from last month so now I'm back at 139. Still trying to get back to my ticker and beyond. I've planned to lose this last 10 pounds over the next year, so a pound or so a month. But I'm finding its hard just to maintain this weight and not re-gain. That is just as challenging, it seems, as losing (but I've always struggled to maintain so I should know that already).

Keep us posted on what you''re doing! We still have a few weeks to reach our monthly goals :).

Hello everyone just checking it so see how everyone is doing. I'm doing ok i guess need to really kick up the exercise i think. I stepped on the scale this morning and although its not my weigh in day the scale said i weighed 252.2 which is up 2 lbs from my weigh in on monday and i only have 2 more days before my next weigh in so i am so hoping that i will lose this time instead of having it be up from what the last was. Keep up the good work and take it a day at a time. that's really all we can do sometimes as we all got other things that we have to deal with too.

Just checkin in...my goal was to eat well but enjoy myself and exercise at least 3 times on the bike this past week at my parents...well I ate like crap crap crap...however I did log in 80.75 miles on the bike:D:D:Din 5 days:):):)

Still on track so far

Hi All,

I have been good. I am sticking to the 2x exercise, although I combined them today and yesterday. I did 35 min. of turbo jam (it totally kicked my butt), and ran 1.5 miles yesterday and 3 miles today. This turbo jam if you are doing the right way will burn a lot of calories. I find myself jumping around like a monkey half the time since I can't follow the movements totally yet, but I am sticking to it!!
Hope everyone is having a great weekend!!

however I did log in 80.75 miles on the bikein 5 days
That is very impressive Cinderelly!!

Heater: don't let the scale get you down!! Just keep on going..

Everyone, stay focused, baby steps at the time!!! Here is some will-power and determination wibes ....

That's great =D Good job on the biking! =]

...

My goal was to hit onederland by September 1st. It looks like I will surpass that goal =] I hit 202.4 today :eek2:

I dont mean to whine and complain but I had a really bad day. I ate really badly and had a few drinks of Grey Goose vodka. Here's what I had:

blueberries w/ whipped cream
1 sausage w/ 1 egg w/ large whole grain bagel
2 sausages
1 small bag chips (150 cals)
1 small bag cheese puffs (150 cals)
1 almond snickers bar
2 vodka and grape/cranberry juices
2 franks w/ buns
1 spring roll
6 fried vegetable dumplings

I can only wonder how many calories that is .

I seriously need to find a way to get back on track! Mondays are usually a good day for me though being back at work and all.

Hope you all are doing much better than me!

Ive been strugging to get back on track as well...only a few more hours till the end of Day 1. Ive noticed the first 3 days are the hardest, and once I pass those, it gets easier and I tend to stay on track.

Wasn't part of my goal but..

...I dropped a size in clothing!! I just noticed that my size 12 was getting very baggy on me so I tried on my size 10 this morning, and it fit no problems!!!! YAY!!
Still exercising twice a day, sometimes I combine it though. So it is one long session.. oh well.

Angelica how are you doing? Did you pass the 3 days? Are you on track?

Aleeluh, congrats on getting so close to onederland!! You will make it I am sure!!

Everybody else, hope you are having a good day and keep on track. Remember : nothing tastes as good as skinny feels!!

Great job on going down a size hajni! I did well yesterday on my plan, though my exercise was cut short (I had to turn off the oven and then never resumed on the elliptical!). Today I have big plans to again stay on track. I'm still feeling full from 2 days ago, so I'm hoping for a good day. I've planned my food out for the day (I posted it in my diary but wont bore you with the gory details) and I'll plan to hop on the elliptical twice for a HIIT workout (10 rounds, which I still haven't managed to do yet) and a steady state workout for 20 minutes. Good luck to everyone! Let's make this a good one!

I'm so close to the 170s, I can almost taste it.
I've worked really hard at the gym but I've not been doing well on keeping track of foods.

So close...

I have gotten back on track this week..(finally) TOM is here though so not sure what my weigh in day will look like.
Keep up the hard work everyone.

How did you do on this Blancita? Did you do the elliptical?

I am doing good, still exercising 2x a day, yesterday did 35 min turbo jam, then 3 mi. run on my treadmill, burning 750 cal. Tomorrow is my weigh-in day, I am exited!!
I wore my size 10 today at work and got and AHH from everybody. Up until now I had size 12's on with baggy tops , so the progress was not so visible.!
On my August 2lb weight loss challenge, i am shooting for 160, It might be a possibility if I can keep this up!!
Hope everybody is having a good day and keep up the good work, only 1/2 month left from August, let's put all the effort in!!

Funny you said that. I just made the observation that exercise is what works for me in taking off the lbs. I generally eat healthy, and it was just not cutting it. Since I upped my cal. burn to 500-750/day, the lbs started falling off.
So I think that quote is probably right!!!

Wishing everybody a great week!!!
