I have decided to start my own August challenge thread (with Korrie's permission) and hope some of you would like to join me!

The goal is to lose 10 lbs in august, but if you would like to adjust this goal to meet your needs, feel free :D

Weigh in is on thursdays. I know it is a bit odd to start on August 5, so we can have our first weigh in on August 1 and have a 'mini' first week :D

August 1: 182.6 (83kg)
August 5: 179.3
August 12: 178.3 (which is good considering I went up then back down from last week)

August 26: 175.4 (choosing to ignore last week when aunt flo' came to visit :))

Total Lost: 9 pounds! (4.1kgs!) Ohhh...so close to 10 lol

Aug-1: After being 349.8 on July 31, I guess My body decided it needed to store some water?
Aug-5: Still fighting with water retention, but moving in the right direction. Got some catching up to do, though.
Aug-12: Not the result I wanted to see this week, but progress is progress I guess...
Aug-19: First week in 2 and a half months where I didn't lose something. Its my own fault though, sort of on a little break this week.

You know I am down for this...It should be exciting. I am gonna work harder this month and aim for a 15lb loss so about 3.5lbs each week. I know what my issues were in July so won't repeat them for August.

I am just waiting until tomorrow (July 31) to get my starting weight. I'm actually aiming to lose about 5lbs, not 10, but this will still motivate me!

I'm starting 30 day shred tonight so hopefully that should give my weight loss a boost. My eating is finally kicking in too.. Noticing a slow but steady drop over the past three days so fingers crossed it keeps up.

Hello my name is michelle and i would like to join this challange..i am a first time poster but have been lurking for the past month while losing 11.8 lbs so far in july with a total of 17.8 lbs ..my starting total was 258 and i am down now to 241.8 ...ultimate goal is 148lbs WOOHOO:waving:
