Any Old Timers Left Around here??

He was spamming all over the place. He'd copy paste the same posts everywhere, etc. The place wasn't very active with him either, I'm afriad. There was a big discussion about this. I'm not gonna go more in detail on why we decided it was the best. The problem is that a lot of posters left or became very little active (myself included) in the time after him (not because he was banned, there was another reason).
 
I miss Chillen's posts. He was motivational and helped a lot of people. I was wondering WTF happened to him ever since I started visiting again. Bummer.
 
Kind of like the Government...Leaders make decisions having no idea or concern of how it actually affects the general population.
 
And the people make assumptions about how the leaders make their decisions without knowing anything about it.

Are bans on this site permanent? Just a general question, not asking about this particular case.
 
There can be permanent and non permanent bans. Usually if someone oversteps we ban them for a couple of days so they can cool off.

Although I don't know what " The place wasn't very active with him either, I'm afriad " is alluding to exactly.

Before he was banned there wasn't a great deal of activity outside a very small group of people.

And Karky's right about there being another reason why lots of regulars left; the reason I only come on about once a month now is completely unrelated to the Chillen thing, it was just a coincidence that those two events happened at the same time.

I've been away from the forum awhile, so this is all news to me.

Perhaps you can bring me up to speed.

I'm curious......what was that " other reason " / " event " behind " why lots of regulars left " ?

Yeah, it's hard to believe. but that's how it goes. Too bad activity has dropped.. we really need some people with controversial ideas in here that can stirr up some debate.
 
Yeah, with the addition of the BB forum I would honestly feel more at home over there. Even powerlifters and oly's all the same would probably gravitate toward that forum, it's dedicated to a much more advanced lifter (albeit still not too advanced). I've yet to make an account because of lack of time, but it'd be interesting.

There are only about 5 posts a day on the BB forum....but there are some good guys over there.
