Another Debate Thread: Age Differences

So, here's an interesting topic to debate. How much is too big of an age difference for two people who are dating? Does it make any difference if the man is older or if the woman is older? Is is more appropriate for a 40 year old man to date an 18 year old woman than the other way around? What do you guys think?

I though this up because I've always been attracted to older men. I'm 17 and I like guys between the ages of 25 and 35. However, because of the social taboo surrounding age differences, I limit myself to guys closer to my age.

So, how much is too much when it comes to age differences?

My parents have a 13 year age difference. The oldest guy I've ever dated was 21.

I really like this 30 year old guy, but that's just too big of a difference for me.

I've never dated. But I prefer my partner to be atleast some what close to my age, but a 3-4 age difference i can live with.

I operate on the 5 + 1 rule. Although I once had a pretty dirty weekend with a women twice my age. It doesnt matter anymore when you have a partner

The only time I dated someone my own age was a 3 year relationship from 15 - 18, everyone after that has been significantly older than me. It just works a lot better for me that way generally.

My first boyfriend was 1 year older than I am. We dated for a year. I don't know If I could date someone my age now. It just doesn't feel natural. There are tons of great looking young guys at my school, they're just not old enough for me.

When I was 22, I dated a 41 year old. That was the best month I've ever spent with anyone in bed. That being said, I think as long as there are no psychological issues and you're legal...have fun.

lol but its funnyto think that he was in college when she was born

Most guys I know are finished dealing with silly b1t57es and want something different. I'm speaking from past experience. I teater totter between younger and older at this point.

So much for the " half your age plus 7 is the youngest you should date " rule. :)
