Dammit Andy, I'll never catch you like that!! Now I'm like 9lbs. behind!

;)

:p I'm pretty convinced a lot of it was just water shifting around haha. We shall see!

You always sound so motivated in your posts! *jealous* No wonder you're losing quickly.

Enjoy your workout :) x

Thanks for coming by! My weight loss has been my biggest motivator by far. Now that I can stand to look in the mirror, I know that I have only one direction I want to go. I really have a much much different outlook than I did 6 months ago. Miles apart really. I know where I want to be, and I have a good idea how to get there.

phew! Nice walk again today for lunch! I know im gonna miss em when its summer, and 110 degrees out :ack2:

My roomates are getting snitty that I dont cheat at eat a pizza every now and then haha. I mean, I feel like I could, I just dont want to. I like where my current food has brought me, and I feel like it can take me where I want to go. Its getting to be so routine I dont really think about it much anymore.

Man, if it ain't broke...
Roommates are weight loss kryptonite. All your healthy habits are makin' 'em self conscious about their own eating habits. When I eat crap: grease, sugar, salt...I just crave more crap. Sounds like your taste buds are favoring a healthier fare. That's great!! Means eating well isn't a duty, it's becoming second nature. Stay the course and you'll continue seeing results.

I second this. Losing those cravings for junk sounds like the best thing, my cravings are definately fading and I look forward to feeling as untempted as you do! x

Thanks for stopping by you guys :D:D I am really happy I have been able to resist most temptation. I know there are some foods I used to eat 3-4 times a week that I wont even touch drunk anymore, but I still have my weaknesses. Out of the blue the other day, I had an INTENSE craving for some burritos (fatty tortilla, cheese, refried beans, salty chicken, the works). I somehow managed to dodge it and make it into a subway. I felt much better about eating that instead, and after I finished eating, I was glad I didn't succumb to it.

Had a great day yesterday. Was able to stretch my legs during my afternoon lunch break. My distance tracker has been acting up, but over the course of 40 mins at a leisurely pace, id estimate its between 1.50-1.75 miles or so. Got out of work late yesterday, so I figured I would walk around for another 45 min while I waiting for rush hour to die down. It didnt work haha. It was a parking lot on the way home. Ah well, you learn.

Got home, realized I was out of my staple chicken! **PANIC** I subbed in a turkey sandwich. Complemented the wich with veggies, and an crisp apple (nothing beats it) for dessert. It wasn't as much protein as I would have liked before gym, but it worked out fine for the day.

Went to the gym that evening with the focus on legs. I havent really done str training on that segment of my body in months, so I did some circuits testing out what weight setting I needed to be at. I felt it for sure in my hammys and quads, but I think I let my calves off easy in hindsight.

3x10 115lb Calf raise
3x10 90lb Leg extension
3X10 115lb Hamstring Curl
3x10 110lb Sitting Calf raise

I need to tinker a little more with the weight, but I'm tons more fimilar with my leg machines now. Finished up with a mile jog/walk 4% elevated. Man, it makes a huge difference in difficulty. I love how much it makes me push myself.

Weigh in this morning was more stable at 304.2

Tonight, focusing on chest and back.

I love your focus and determination. You definitely utilize every part of your day and make it work for you instead of against you. Good job!

I'm within walking distance of a Carolina's. I am immune to it now and can simply enjoy the savory smells as I stroll past. Well done on opting for the healthy (and still delicious!) option. Your body thanks you. :)

@ Tutti - Thanks again for stopping by! :p I've just really been motivated lately, and I am trying to turn this surge into a habit I can build on. I feel optimistic, so we shall see how that effort goes haha.

@ Veronica - I recently read a journal on here of a person who really made a lot small changes in his life, and the result was huge. He really inspired me keep on moving. Luckily, we have had georgeous weather lately, and getting a little sun is always ok with me :D I appreciate the continued support! Its small things compliments that really fuel motivation, so thanks!

Wowowowowowow I was totally talking/thinking about Carolina's on cavecreek rd too! Get out of my mind! haha TY for the kudos :biggrinjester:

Another good day yesterday. Got in my water and my walk. Went to the gym intended to do some chest/back lifting while fitting some cardio in. Its funny, because when I did my arms/legs earlier this week, I didn't really feel much of a change. My shoudlers are REALLY tight this morning. Although I did a decent cycle, im going to attribute it to the bench press, where I really worked. As far as I can tell, its my weakest group of muscles, so it'll be interesting to see where I'm at a month from now, among other mile-markers. Finished up my workout with a steady treadmill exercise. I planned on doing 1.5 miles, but I got caught up in some terrible TV show, and I had the watch the end of it. So, I ended up doing 2.6 miles altogether. But thats ok with me ;)

Anyways, I like how things are moving. Morning weigh in shows 304.2, which is where its been the past 3 days now, but scales are pretty weird sometimes haha. I know i'm doing enough to warrant a change, so I'm not worried about it. It'll change later on this week (hopefully before challenge weigh in **fingers crossed**)!!

looking good but a few sugestions, Hamstring curls can be be realy bad for the knees, there have been several gyms here successfully sued by people over knee injuries on the lying hamsting curl machine. Hamstring raises are a bit better but may be out of your range at the moment because it is an advanced exercise but for future reference look here Hamstring Raise .You could try stiff leg deadlifts assuming you don't have any back problems. Barbell Straight Leg Deadlift but just trying for more free weight exercises in general would be good.

Awesome information. Always Always up for tips. :bigear: Especially with the video links. The ham exercises look like something I could do with a partner at home. Ill try those out next time I do legs. TY!

SO TY!

Another good day yesterday.

Well those are the diaries I like to see - seeing other people have worked hard (and seen results on the scales!) gets me motivated myself so your success is good news for me too :hurray: Keep it uppppp! x

Whew, had a tough day yesterday. Unfortunatly, the DOMS from my chest exercises set in, and it suuuuucked. I decided not to gym last night because I was pretty achey. I'm certainly still feeling it today, but in my experience the muscles usually settle around 48 hours.

Food/water was great. Exactly where I wanted it to be. I think its really my body prodding me to let it catch up. I've been a little over-zealous with new goals recently (especially incorporating a lot more weight training into the mix), and I think my body just needs a little time to adjust.

Weighed in this morning at 305.6. Still floating right above that magic 300 number. Debating on whether or not to get my cardio in this evening. It depends on how I'm feeling later this evening. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Andy, I'm so proud of you. Your workouts this week have been inspirational! I can't wait to really dig in with my gym time. I know that I've been holding back this week, mostly because of stress at work, I just haven't felt up to the gym. But the end of the frustrating stuff at work is just around the corner and I'm really hoping to tear it up this next week. Plus I want to pull a nice number for week 1 of the Biggest Loser challenge we're signed up for!

311.0 this morning, half a pound higher than my goal for the week, but really decent for only making it to the gym twice! Can't wait until we're both out of the 300-club!!

:)

Thank you Addie. You're so awesome :D That was really nice :D I'm really excited to kick off this biggest loser challenge too! And yea, I think we both make it out of this pesky 300 club by d-day. I mean v-day.

Been keeping on keeping up. I was EXTREMELY happy to wake up to a limber chest again. I can't believe how much it kept me down this past week. I think I tried way too much too early haha. Ill be able to adjust that later this week. The good news is that even though I wasnt able to make it to the gym for 3 days, I kept on with my food consumption. I even made it through a playoff game at a bar without a SINGLE beer or fried chicken wing. Just water the whole time. I suppose it helped that my team (cards) got smashed early on, made me sick to my stomach :p

Woke up today and headed to the gym this morning. Got a full arms circuit completed.

3x12 40lb preacher curls
3x12 50lb bicep curl
3x12 50lb tricep extension
3x12 90lb tricep push down

Weighed in this morning for the day at 302.6 :O Shot right by 303 somewhere. Im ready to get OUT of this club this week. Lets see :S :auto:

The Amazing Andy! For his next trick, he'll take a group of kids to Chuck E Cheese and only have a salad! ;)
Nice work man. No more 300's for you. Pretty soon it'll be a distant memory.

Ahh back to work after a long weekend. Had a great, restful weekend, and im rearing to get back into the spin of things. Food was pretty great. I did splurge a bit when I went back to my parents for dinner sunday night. But my mom's cooking is worth it :D Yesterday was great. Tuna for lunch, chicken for dinner. All the same. I was planning on going to the gym a littler earlier, but I got caught up in the new season of 24 haha. Managed to rush to the gym afterwards and do my legs. Tried the recumbent bike for the first time, just to see how much different it is that the treadmill. It was NICE. Got my heartrate up nice and quick, and I left with wobbley legs :)P) but a feeling I pushed myself. Also realized over the weekend its been about a month without ANY soda! Wasn't sure how long that would last, but I am still going strong!

The new biggest loser Club challenge starts today, and my weigh is was a bit higher than I weighed in sun, so I'm ready to get that one off to a nice start.

Other than that, I have the dreaded chest/back to work on tonight. Last time I way overestimated where I was, and I overtuned my muscles, so tonight im going to try and gauge which weight will be adequate. Hope everyone had an EXCELLENT weekend!

Congrats on the fizzy-free month Andy. And on keeping on the straight and narrow with food over the weekend. :) Good luck on the workout. x

Excellent work on avoiding soda :)

And no worries about being a little up on the scales, I'm up a little bit since Friday but it's on the way back down ... we'll make it! :grouphug:
