Amunet's Lil Diary

Woot! Today was good eating wise.
Had about 1800 calories.. and that's rounding up alot b/c I didn't really measure everything. Just sorta winged it.

Also reweighed myself just in case yesterday's weighin was wrong.. but it still read 224.. so yay! lol
Hope it's down at least a pound next week :)

Keep it up everyone!! :D
 
So today was another decent.. not great.. but decent day with eating.
Had about 2k calories so not feeling too bad about it. heh

God I still need to exercise though. If I could just get that motivation to get off my rump to do it!
It's like... I'll start getting motivated.. and then it slowly goes away like someone letting the air out of a balloon.

I need to get motivated... REALLY motivated. Think I'm gonna check out beachbody.com website for some before and afters.
They usually have some good stories to read. And of course gonna read the ones here as well :)

Reading before and afters usually gets me pumped up good enough to get off my big bum heh.
 
Nope I didn't workout unfortunatly.
BUT I did just put in my order for a workout video Turbo Jam.
I've wanted it for a while now and just got up the nerve to get it.
Hopefully I'll be getting it within a week b/c I'm really eager to start it up!
It looks like alot of fun and hard work which... I think I'm finally willing to start doing (exercise-wise).
I'm really pumped to get started on it!... whenever it gets here :p heh

I don't think I'm gonna be getting it as soon as I thought though. Dernit...
Been reading the forums over at beachbody and the people there pretty much say it takes about 2 weeks to get it.
That's not so bad but longer than I thought.
I just want it already so I can start.
I really am excited to get going with it. :D
 
So.. all if fine and dandy.

Wnt and saw a Cirque du Soleil show yesterday... called Delirium.
It was pretty good, but was hoping for more acrobatic stuff like the show I saw in Vegas.
It was still good though with some music.... weird.. very weird, but good heh.

Anywho... food intake has been good, not great, but good.
Exercise.. not yet... heh shame on me. I promise though that once those workout vids get here.. I'm gonna be doing those 5-6 days a week.. depending on if I'm sore or not heh.

I'm gonna be alone most of next week though. I just know I'm gonna get bored and want to eat. *sigh*
 
Don't eat if your bored!!! If you feel the urge to do it, just hop on here- theres usually someone on during the day :) find something else to preoccupy your time and you won't even notice the cravings :)
 
Woot! My Turbo Jam finally came in the mail and I'm gonna start it up on Monday! YAY!
Also gotta get back to eating better. Been kinda slacking these past few weeks. Not totally, but enough for me to probably have gained back some. :eek:

I'm SO looking forward to.. yet dreading to start it lol.
I know it's gonna be super hard at first but I gotta stick with it!
Gonna have to take my measurements as well so I can keep track of my progress that way. I'll post that up on here as well :)

Sooo yeah... I'll be back tomorrow (er well.. today) or Monday with that and to share how my first time with this program went! heh
 
Alrighty.. I did Turbo Jam for the first time today! YAY!.. sorta lol.

The sorta meaning that I just learned how totally uncoordinated I really am..:eek:

There's one part that's called the Learn & Burn. It starts off by showing you the basic moves and the instructor tells you kinda how to do them and such (the Learn part duh heh).
Well I thought at least THAT was going to be easy but oh HECK NO!

Everything started off fine... learned the basic tuck thing... then she starts adding all this stuff to it and when I think I have it.. Oh no! Lets add something else, put it all together and voila!! :eek:

If anyone had been watching me I would've looked like a bumbling idiot lol. I didn't think I was that uncoordinated, but apparently I am.. SHEESH.

Then on the Burn segment where it's an actual workout. Oh good lord.. I was just totally lost. It's like as soon as I was sorta starting to get used to doing a move.. they'd switch it up and I'd be totally lost again lol.

I'm definitely gonna be stuck on the Learn & Burn newbie section for a while. Gosh that was just embarassing hehe :D I'm stickin to it though. Even though it's alot harder than I thought it was gonna be, it is fun b/c it's different and doesn't require my big butt to keep going up and down off my hard as a brick floor heh

I also took my measurements when I woke up (since I forgot to do it yesterday)...
Man.. I never realized how flabby my arms have gotten. Sad when my arms are an inch short of being as big as my huge calves :(

Upper Left Mid Arm- 16.4
Upper Right Mid Arm- 16.6

Right Mid Thigh- 28
Left Mid Thigh- 28

Right Calf- 17
Left Calf- 17.5

Chest- 44
Waist- 40.4
Hips- 50


Gonna take measurements every week.. or more.. depending if I remember heh.
So yeah.. I wanna see those numbers down next Tuesday! WOO! heh
 
Good job on measuring yourself- weight isn't the only thing that moves, and I've found that even if the scale doesn't move, its pretty likely you'll lose some inches :) I measure myself once a month, about the same time of the month, but I weigh myself obsessively, lol... can't help it!!
Hope your turbo jams is nicer to ya next time :D
 
Wooooooohooooooooooooooo ( I Want The Turbo Jam) It Rocks And I Would Love To Have It I Am With You Though I Would Probably Be Just As Uncoordinated But I Think It Will Work And Looks So Fun! You'll Be A Master At It In No Time!

Well I woke up today just SORE SORE SOOOORREE.
Good grief... when I was doing Turbo Jam yesterday.. it really didn't feel like I was working anything out cept for my legs.
But I woke up today and just... OUCH.. my sides are freakin killing me lol.

I'm getting a slow start today.
I do plan on watching Turbo Jam again and practicing the moves, but I definitely won't be going all out with it today heh.
 
WOO! Third day of Learn & Burn!
Well.. yesterday I only watched.. my sides just got worse all day.. but I woke up today.. soreness free and got to exercising!!

I'm still pretty uncoordinated, but I did get more of it right! YAY! And b/c I did.. MAN it wore me out!
I mean you watch it.. and it's like.. geeze.. that doesn't look hard or tiring at all!
Then you get your big butt up and you realize just how out of shape you are!

There is this one move that keeps messing me up though... It's a jab, punch, jab, knee move.

You jab with your right or left hand while taking a small step forward, twist your body to punch with the other hand, jab again with the first hand and while that's coming back towards your body, you bring that side's knee up.
And rinse and repeat.
GAAAAAH IT"S HARD!!! Not the actual move.. but b/c there are so many parts to it, I tend to overthink about it so get all messed up.

BUT THEN!! They add this kinda twist rowboat thing to it.. to where right after your last jab, while you're bringing your knee up you do this big arm motion towards your knee as it's coming up like you're rowing a boat with an oar.. and then arm motion again to the other side as your knee goes down.

Then back to the jab punch.. headspin blah blah ARRRRRGGHH!!! Rofl.... :D

It's fun though.... hard to keep good form when you're first starting out, but it works you out and at least gets you moving even if you are doing it wrong.

Wow your exercise is great. Turbo Jam I don't know what that is, but from what i've read in your journal it requires co-ordination and that I have none of LOL.

Sounds like a great workout!!! I have done both TaeBo & Jazzersize videos. Yeah...the Jazzersize took a little bit to figure out the steps. I looked pretty pathetic. The bad thing is, the first time I tried Jazzersize, was actually at one of the meetings with some friends. They had done it several times already...I had never done it. Yeah...funny! I went and bought the tape so I could learn the steps at home.

By the way, I noticed we are 'fairly' close in weight. I wish you the best!!!!!!!

Well... I only had 1700calories today.. probably less since I do round up.. YAY!

I'm snacky as all get out right now though... bleh.

Didn't get to exercise any yesterday or today b/c I was trying to figure out what's wrong with my computer.
Finally got it working, but now it won't connect to the internet.... *SIGH*

Not doing measurements or weight this week since it's TToTM for me... Gonna wait till next week to post up measurements :)

Anywho... hope everyone is doing great! And I hope I can get back on my own PC so I can come back and read everyone's diaries some more!

Keep at it everyone! WOOO!
 
Hey amunet! Hope your computer is up and running soon :) I skipped measurements while I was on TOM also, just with bloating and whatnot, lol. Or maybe I was just scared of the results :rolleyes: who knows :D Anyways, have a great day, make sure you get in a nice long workout to make up for the ones you've missed!
