yeah I completely agree with you Deanna, I hope Chris and Lakisha go home tonight. I really like the other 4, so I'm not really sure who I want to win....

Chris, yeah I think he is past his prime... I also wonder about Phil?

My favorites are Melinda, Jordan, and Blake!!!

I agree that Chris has overstayed his welcome. There's just something about his voice that really annoys me. I was also happy to see Phil go, he's just not nearly as good as the remaining four.

I think next week we'll see Lakisha go home and then Jordin. I know Melinda has a huge chance to win but I hope Blake beats her out.

Oh YAY! A thread about my favorite t.v. show. :D

Kaitie, I agree with you that Chris and Phil were the right 2 to go. I definitely think Melinda has more talent than Blake as a singing voice, but Blake has more a modern pop-appeal thing going with the younger crowd. I think Jordin should go home before Lakisha, but you're probably right, it'll be the other way around. Lakisha's voice is my favorite. The reason I love Lakisha so much is because the world is long overdue for another Aretha. Less Beyonce and Brandy and more Etta James and Billie Holiday please! :D
 
Oh man....they were suckin' it tonight!!

I hated both of Melinda's and Lakisha's performances. Blake was eh... at least Jordin's first song was really really good.

I think Blake and Lakisha are in trouble.

I'm pretty much cheering for Blake, even though Melinda is FABULOUS. I just can't see Melinda selling as many records as Blake could. Melinda would probably want to do christian soul, and as much as I tremendously respect that, it's not going to sell or fly with today's musical culture.
 
Here's my theory---we can check it out in about an hour.

I think Melinda and Jordin are fine, Lakisha is a goner because all the people who were voting for Phil and Chris are most likely going to start voting for Blake. So from last week, Blake gained two idols votes whereas Lakisha will still only have her loyal fans.

This week.. let's please get melinda out of there.. She has a nice voice.. but it's not amazing for me. Jor has ups and downs which is what I like.

Because I am Canadian I don't get to vote, but man o man, are you guys kidding me?
I thought for sure it would be Melinda and one of the others in the bottom two.
I really thought it was a toss up between Blake and Jordan. (don't get me wrong, I like both of them! We are in the final three and someone good had to go, but MELINDA????
She is phenomenal! She will have a career outside this show, there is no doubt about that!

NOOOOO NOT MELENDA!!!! ok thats just wrong! I think she was by far the BEST! I like jor. and blake too, but I loved melinda!:eek2:
 
WTF is this crap...grr..melinda was my favorite.

Even though i stopped watching the show after sanjaya got kicked off, i thought she was gonna win it.

Melinda lost because of the teeny-bopper vote. She has much more appeal to adults, but adults don't have the time to vote, much less vote ten times.

Jordan has been my favorite since the top 12. Melinda rocks, but Jordan has sparks!!! Pun Intended.

Melinda is going to tear it up on her own!
 
Go Blake!!!!!!! He used to live just 10 minutes from me, and he used to open for all the shows done by The Mob Law, one of my favorite local bands. He's such a nice guy and so talented, I hope he wins, but even if he doesn't he's going to get a record deal.

I like Jordin too, both of them are bound to be stars.
 
I have to admit, I would be happy if Blake won too. They both deserve it.

I've been rooting for Blake behind Jordan's back. haha

But honestly I'm almost tied with the two, they are so different in style.

It will be interesting to see who ends up the most famous after this and goes on to being what they call a "triple threat."
