5 Questions....

I enjoy arguing politics as well. I went from one side of the spectrum to the other since I came to college. I was an uber fundamentalist christian conservative before and now I am an open minded (but still leaning towards Christianity) liberal. I think politics are fascinating and how the country is literally divided, so both sides must have some good points, or else half the country wouldnt support that view.
I don't want to turn this into a political thread, but I really don't see what Christianity should have to do with politics. In fact I think people should keep religion out of politics altogether, fair enough to have your own religious beliefs, but to use them in politics to force other people to live by your religions "ethical" code is in my opinion disgraceful. An example I would give is gay rights, a lot of christian, jewish & muslim groups are lobbying against gay rights laws here in the uk. Thankfully they are largely being ignored and rightly so- why should somebody elses religous beliefs infringe my (or anybody elses) civil rights?

Oh i completely agree. I just put my religious change in there because while it hurts politics, religion does have a big effect on it. However, since I came to college I have learned that it is possible to be a liberal christian or a conservative atheist. I agree religion and politics should be separate, but for the time being (at least in the US) the two are still vitally connected in a way that cannot be ignored.

lol ok im stopping talking about politics now.

Ok, I'm confuzzled. HOw do we play this game? Do we answer the questions that the latest poster posted and then post our own? Or do we choose to answer any of the questions? I kinda like the first option better, but I wanna know what to do before I do it.

When you head to scotland - if you get a sidetrip to london in -be sure to visit the london eye :)

Have you lost someone to the war?
Fortunately, thus far, all of my friends and family have remained safe.

Whats the most embarassing thing you've done because you were drunk? --
hmmm. I'm not sure, nothing comes to mind at the moment, I can recall some seriously funny things that happened when I was drunk though.

Whats the best prank phone call you've ever done? Wow, I haven't done one of those in years, but I guess it must have been something about a cow and a backyard.

Which celebrity do you have a crush on? I absolutely adore Hugh Laurie from "House"

What is the most important lesson about life that you have learned? I'm not sure if it should be marriage, or financial stuff or communication. I have learned so much from marriage about myself, my hubby and marriage itself. I guess I was under the assumption that marriage is always that "storybook romance" seen EVERYWhere, and that just isn't so. You have to work at it, and work HARD every day to be the best spouse you can be in every situation.

Financially, if you don't have an understanding of credit and money, you can really put a huge damper on your future and that of the future of others. I was very lucky to have learned early on the value of money and credit and the responsibility that comes along with it.
