I forgot to add some personal stuff, I'm 19 and female and I'm a student... which can be stressful and definitely interferes with workout time.

Why don't you start a diary, it's an easy way to get support, and find a weight loss buddy.
 
heya everyone im 19 (think im the oldest here lololol :confused: ) but anywayz i wud like to lose 30lbs by the summer which may be achievable or not but its nice to have people clos to my age to share thinks with if anyone has any tips on dieting and exercising and if you have any tips on slimming down the tum bum and thighs ( as i feel like a elephant lol) then that wud be great anywayz catch ya soon byaz xxx:) :) :)
 
I think that it's doable. I need to lose 35 more lbs, but i want to lose at least 20 by summer. and that's a pound a week. It's safe to lose 2 lbs a week, so that's pretty darn good the way it works out that there are about 20 weeks left in school. I know we can do it! (even though this week has been pretty bad for me)
 
Why dont we like start a challenge for ourselves, or like share our progress each day on this thread/weekly weigh in results or something. I dunno, i just know, i would serously appreciate some more people kickin my ass when i screw up, and people to share success with.

I cannot wait till summer, when not only will all my exams have finished, and i will have a 3 month gap inbetween secondary school and college (not college like in the US lol, i always get confused with this but its for 16-18 year olds.) anywho, id really like able to like start running, :) or trying to anyway. But for now cycling and walking lol. But id love to be able to get out in the summer weather rather than sittin on my backside. I dont really have much options for exercise, i mean apart from walking and cycling, any ideas for indoor crunches, or anything i can do when its raining , i mean when im properly dedicated (which im finding hard at the moment) i go out walking anyway, but im getting a bit more of a wimp (which it does 75 percent of the time).
There is a swimming pool i can access like 5 minutes from my house, plus a sports hall which you can go to like karate classes, and badminton, football ect, plenty of fields, and even a running track-but im still trying to brave the swimming baths, and the sports hall is just so expencive, i have a mate who i exercise with, but shes not very willing until summer really, so team sports are not really a option either

My dad was talking of joining a gym, or geting a family membership or something yesterday, so fingers crossed he will, , and ill be able to get along to that, but im not convinced he will. Its all well and good people who have left home, left education, who could buy all the neccesary home gym equipment, pay for gym memberships ect, but im 15, its quite tricky.

Anywho, sorry for being whiney, im just that way out today.
 
heya has anyone tryed the dance mat as a exercise (playstation dance mat ) its great fun and good exercise as ur jumping about and getting all hot and sweaty (lovely lol) and it also has a program on there that counts how many calories you have burned and its also great on a raining day if theres any people out there like me who r wimps when it comes to exercising in the rain then its a great option (if you own a playstation of course ) but thought id just mention it
 
oooo, dance mats awesome idea, i was going to buy one while away, but finding a good one that dosent need a playstation but still plugs int othe tv is quite tricky, i have one but its really not good, it kinda flashes, but i might dig it out, and use that till i can find a better one.
 
Yeah, DDR, for the xbox or whatever system is really good. I want to check out how much it cost to buy one of the dance pads.

Oh, and starting a challenge sounds good to me! :D
 
Anyone got any ideas? we could start one like tomorow, but people might not see the post in time. lol, the motivation will help me so much :D
 
I like the idea of weekly weigh ins! And an exercise challenge, like walk so far or do so many hours per week. :)

But really I'm up for anything that would help motivate me.

DDR is like my only form of aerobic exercise aside from "normal" dancing (non ddr lol) and gym class! I love ittttt.

Yeh, weekly weigh in sounds good :D. I dont know how much exercise everyone wants to do, im shooting for half an hour miniumum a day, i dunno lol.
 
Howdy! I'm 15. I want to lose at least 20 pounds. I think I'm 159 pounds now. So yeah! Howdy. Haha.

Um. I need to lose weight before my brother's wedding. Hah. I have to wear a dress. Bleck. And my bestie from when I was 4 is coming to the wedding.... and she's, like, pretty. xD
 
Roody, I know what you mean. I had a best friend, and she was gorgeous and got all the attention. But, I bet you can lose the weight before the wedding, and you'll look absolutely amazing. I'm expecting pics from it! :D

hm... sounds like me again. And isn't it frustrating, cause most of the time, they can eat whatever they want and not gain a pound! lol.
 
Ok, since this thread has slowed down some, I'd like to pick it up again.

A few people were talking about weekly weigh in's. I'm thinking that every friday we should post our weights for the week here. We can post pics of what we want to wear in the summer, like swimsuits or jeans, and just hang out here. :D

So, every friday come post you're weight!

hi love the sounds of friday weigh ins, glad this threads pickin up again.

I am geting really loaded up with work lately, ive got my exams coming up soon, and they expect us to revise, and finish all our coursework at teh same time. its either dont have a life, or neglect my schoolwork.

Anyway, rant over, i cant wait till summer, i really want to be able to run, i mean i can run, but for a hundred metres or so, at best, (got forced to do 800 in p.e once :( that was painful) expect many rants on here, when im having sugar cravings, i ve got to step up my game, if i want to actually suceed.

As for goal summer wear?

for somereason i want like some bemuda shorts...no idea why lol, or just knee length jeans.

Anyway, ill probably be asleep when some of you are online and posting on here, but im sure i stay up late enough to catch you occasionally. :D anyway, hope everyuones havin a good day?
 
184 today :( im not that annoyed seeing as how i had a major blow out on the weekenmd (involved a lot of pizza, and icecream) but im just going to have to keep going and try twice has hard this time.
