Keep at it Sadie - quitting is the best decision you ever made! Don't worry about the extra lbs, that is perfectly normal. I am living proof that it is still possible to lose weight after you give up.

Will be keeping an eye on you. ;)

i once calculated my required caloric count it was 1400 or maybe 1500 dont remeber..so isnt it like u eat 500 cals less than the requirement to lose weight?

so i ate alot today too, cant stop eating ,good thing i eat only veggies/fruits when i am feeling like i need to eat.maybe its just that nicotine withdrawl or whatever..
does anyone think i should take a hunger suppressent to rid of binge eating??

so here is my 2nd nov`s consumed cals
Calories Eaten Today
grams cals %total
Total: 2250

is 31/38/31 ration ok?

cals 2250:(
awain awain.

2250 seems like a lot unless you are really tall or something or have a really fast metabolism. I'm trying to gain weight and I eat just a little over that on my non-workout days to gain weight. I'm 5'6" and weigh 119 lbs. You may need to recalculate your MT line.

You really must have calculated them wrong. What is your height/weight/age? (You can PM me if you dont want to share, or if you dont want to tell even me, PM me and I'll show you how to figure it out)

Hi der: oh its not a secret hon,i am a shortie...5 2` ,weight around 130 ,i was 103 pre quitting,i gained some 7 lbs because i looked sick at 103..i was 110 when i quit cigs, now i am 20 lbs heavier in just two months:(
i would like to be 110 again.and some 18/20% fat would do just fine for me.

spicy:i am not trying to bulk .

Glad to see you are back Sadie! Get a hold of me, I would like to catch up
woohoo good to see u around aswell i thought u were not active on this forum anymore.i will get a hold of u honey.:yelrotflmao:;)

spicy:i am not trying to bulk .

I know. That Is why I said that the number calories you ate seemed like a lot. Was that not clear?

I brought up my bulking to show that I eat around 2200 calories to BULK. I obviously know that you're not trying to. You very clearly stated your goals.

I said that 2200 is better for a bulking diet so you may need to recalculate your MT line.

Okay, sorry. I thought you were trying to eat that much because on your journal it said that your MT line was over 2500.

Breakfast:5oz grapefruit,2slices bran bread,1tbsp chicken spread milk 50ml,2boiled egg white
Lunch:eek:ne oz mixed nuts.1/2grapefruit,6oz boiled rice.tea

Exercise:2miles run 19:59 minutes,i did one miles yesterday in 11:45 minutes and i worked my butt of today cause i wanted to do 10 minutes per mil,and i did .my speed varied b/w 5.5mph to 8 mph.
i am very pleased with myself will try to do 3 miles in 30 minutes tomorrw it took me 20min/2miles cause i added the warmup time too so basically it was some 19 minutes for 2 miles.i will cut the cooldown/warmup time and just count the 3 mile run at my peek speed lets see how it goes.
according to fitday my intake for 6th nov
grams cals %total
Total: 1276
Fat: 49 438 35%
Sat: 12 107 9%
Poly: 14 126 10%
Mono: 20 176 14%
Carbs: 154 565 45%
Fiber: 13 0 0%
Protein: 61 244 20%
Alcohol: 0 0 0%

i still have to eat my snacks .:)
i am getting better each day as i am focusing on diet..trying to eat carb and protein combo in every meal i am less hungry that way:)

according to 5 website here is what my daily caloric intake should be

1:Based upon the information you provided, your Estimated Daily Calorie
Requirements are: 2,481 calories.
2: Daily Calorie Requirements

2168you need 2259.92 calories per day

3:For the above Age, Sex, Weight, and Height You Require Daily 1913.76 Calories
4:BMR 1392.3
daily caloric need 2158.1kca
so BMR is 1400 almost, and daily caloric need is 2200,or marbe 2000..lets say its 2000..then 1500 cals is the minimum i should eat.
hmmm..lets see if this calorie counting thing works or not..i have never counted the calories before:confused:

Sadie, I promise you it does work. I've been stricter this time around than ever before and the bodyfat seems to be just falling off. I even give myself a 'cheat' meal each week.

On the snacking/smoking thing - you should start chewing gum. Since I quit smoking over 6 months ago, I have very rarely been without a packet of gum in my pocket. I also found that sipping cold water helped too.

Keep at it Sadie, you're motivation will return in spades as soon as you start noticing progress.

Thanks Chris, your encouragement means alot to me..glad to have a supportig Ex smoker.
i chew gums too "sugar free"ones but the prob is my 4years old will find out whenevr i buy a pack and finish in a jiffy;) too much expense..hehe

"You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to ChrisJG again."

btw..i tried to give u a rep for the post..but seems like i will have to spread my love around the forum before giving u again;)
