You've gotta be kidding me...

OK, so Friday I had a little itching going on in my ass. Saturday, came to the conclusion that I had a damn hemroid, which I had my gf confirm for me, hehe. OK, it sucks, but it is more annoying than painful. I guess I'm just worried about it long term, since I've heard scary stuff about them being a problem forever once you get it the first time. Anybody here had one and want to share fun hemroid experiences?

So now today, I wake up, and my throat is sore and my nose in running, so it looks like I'll be having a fun cold to go along with it!

Who wants to feel sorry for me? :(

I had a problem about 10 years ago. I went to the doctor and that experience scarred me for the rest of my life. Then I started taking metamucil and the problem went away. Now that I eat healthy I skip that and just make sure I eat as much fiber as possible. Try to get at least 30 grams per 2000 cals

I eat about 25 grams a day. I almost never have consto problems, sometimes I miss a day, but I always make up for it with 2 dumps the next.

I can imagine being scarred for life by this, I really just want it to go away and not be a problem, damn...

This has me scared about lifting heavy. Should I definitely avoid it for the time being? When is it safe to resume? Gah, this sucks.

I was just emotionally scarred from the medical exam...I had internal hemorrhoids:eek:

Typically a person doesn't realize he's constipated or not getting enough fiber, because it's what you're accustomed to. You shouldn't consciously have to push...when you sit down it should just happen...you should be sitting for maybe 30 seconds tops. If you skip an entire day I'd say that might be a sign unless your caloric intake is really low. 1-3 a day is good

If I remember correctly you eat around 3000 cals right? so you should shoot for at least 45 grams since you've had a problem, maybe more. If you're finding it difficult to work it in to your diet just get some metamucil or some other fiber supplement.

I wouldn't recommend deadlifts or squats while you have an active problem

If it makes you feel any better I ****ed up my beard when trimming it last night and just shaved it off. I'm bummed because I think I look like a 12 year old dork LOL

Well, I rarely ever do have to push at all. And my caloric intake is actually pretty low right now, only about 2200-2300 cals. When I was eating 3000-3200 cals, I was easily going 1 or 2 times a day. Maybe I will get some kind of fiber supplement, can never have too much. I will do anything, I mean anything to stop this from happening...

Yeah, I figured squats and deads were out of the question, that blows.

Haha, so a shaving malfunction, huh? OK I do feel a little better, at least I'm not the only one in the pits.

I have a really chapped as* right now because I didn't use enough "glide" before my 3 hours on the bike yesterday. oh,,, and I also cut myself the last time I tried to clean up 'back there' :)

On a serious note, I'm thinking of what is OK to do in the gym. Squats and deads I will not do for awhile, but I'm thinking anything upper body is OK. Running OK? HIIT?

Or maybe I shouldn't be doing any straining at all?

I don't mean to rain on your parade, but I have a similar problem, it started 25 years ago, and I still see a dermatologist for it.
You can have in taken care of, but once you get them they are very likely to come back from time to time, even to the point of bleeding which they did it my part. See a doc ASAP, forget the creams, been there done that. Good luck
