Your partner used to be the opposite sex, stay or go?

What if she had an extra appendage (don't knock 'em - they're an awful lot of fun to play with by the way :D ) at one point and now doesnt - you never knew her when she had said appendage and you only know her as female :D

would it matter? you love the person she is -

How much does a person's past matter?

I don't know how you women put up with us.

cuz yoou can open jars, and that extra appendage is a whole lot of fun :D

besides most of ya'll smell really good when you get out of the shower

I would find it very difficult to stay with someone who kept such a big secret from me. I would feel very decieved, and probably not be able to forgive.

That is such an interesting question.

Honestly, my answer is "politically incorrect." But I think it would bother me. What differentiates a man from a woman? It isn't simply the various appendages. There are other things that go into differentiating sex.

Once a man, always a man, appendage or not. I will admit that I know absolutely NOTHING when it comes to sex changes.... and I guess they do hormone therapy to change the "not so obvious" differences in the sexes.

But still.....

Ya see, I've never been the kind of person that says, "You are my soul-mate." I believe there are plenty of fish in the sea. And not simply fish, but fish that I could be in love with. I am sure many won't agree with that..... but personally, it's true for me.

So if I found out my fiancé was previously a man..... I think it would bother me too much.

Old school, close-minded or not.

it's an honest response... nothing wrong with that... :D

Over the past few years I've learned a lot about transgendered people - and I agree that there are differences between men and women apart from sexual organs.. most transgendered people (and I'm not sure I'm adding in the tranny prostitutes that I saw often in NYC into this lump) believe they were born with the wrong body..It's more than a girl being a tom boy or a boy being effeminate - they aren't gay - they really believe they were born with the wrong gender.

Yes, I've heard that. But that doesn't mean they are one. When I was a kid I used to think I was a lion. Guess what? I'm not.

I can appreciate their views and opinions. I would never discriminate against them. But I wouldn't stick around if my significant other informed me of this hidden past.

Surely I'd maintain a friendship. But nothing more.

id like to say i would stay with them because i loe them.. and thats easy for everyone to say.. but to be in that situation.. i dont think i could.. for one they kept it from me.. which is a lie.. a BIG lie.. i wont go into it anymore so this thread doesnt become heated.. but im catholic so religion has a big part to do with why i wouldnt stay with them.

LMAO i spit my water out after reading that!!

I don't think I would stay with them. It wouldn't be so much the fact of what they used to be (although it would freak me out a hell of a lot), more that they didn't tell me this before. I'd feel angry and betrayed that they hadn't told me sooner.

If it was very early on in the relationship I think I'd leave them. I don't think I would be able to accept it, if it had progressed and we were in love by the time he told me it would obviously be a much harder decision. Thing is you can't really tell how you'd react to certain situations until they actually happen to you.

Count me out. If my husband told me he used to be a woman, at least it would explain all the fighting. I don't get along well with other women. Just kidding, I do think I'd have to bail out though.

I know this post is from a bit ago but I just found it :[ oops! I was looking through trying to find another post, but whatever. I actually am quite biased about this because, my sister is in fact transgender. Living in a small town, and we went to the same school it was hard on both of us. She is an amazing person and I am very proud of how far she has come, she is also one of the most beautiful woman I have ever met or seen.

When she was little everyone made fun of her because she looked like a boy yet acted like a girl, she ended up dropping out of school at 16 and moving away to a state clear across the country and has been on her own ever since. She just recently moved closer to me ( not in the same town but a few hours away.). Alot of my distant family, have nothing to do with her. Let's just say Christmas is alot awkward because my grandmother helped raise her and we have Christmas at my grandmothers house. Everyone goes there. Politics and Religion have no room at a dinner table at Christmas, but that is x10 more true for our family I think.

Anyways, I am sorry for the rant. Just though I would give some insight. I also have posted a picture of my sister below. She said it was fine of course, I asked her. Thanks for taking the time to read this ;)

She has had three surgeries .. bewbs , nose and whatever. I will post a before pic (Before the nose and boob job) and after :]

Also a youtube video of her goofing around.

First of all, if you had seen the persons naked you would know that they had a sex change. Sencond of all, no I wouldn't stay with someone who had lied to me for long time. Honestly, I will probably end up having kids so I would need a girl who had "working equipment" so for those two reasons, no.

It's not the first time i've heard someone say this (heard it a few times in my mid 20s - a drunk driver removed all chances of my ever having kids when I was 21 so it was always an interesting discussion to have when I was seriously dating someone - and I did have more than one decide that children were a deal breaker) -but if your intended couldn't produce you heirs - you would end the relationship?

Wait, shes transgender but still looks like a girl? Did she have the full operation, aka is she packing heat? After looking at the pictures, im now confused. If she just got plastic surgery to look more like a girl, whatever thats supposed to look like, then is that really transgender? Or did she start off as a guy?

She started off as a guy. :] She had three surgeries(nose, boobs, and the"heat" ) and is no longer "packing heat" =P
