Your Job

I'm a technical writer and editor at a university.

Do you happen to know David Orozco, Ed Borgquist, or Malorie Acevedo? They're buddies of mine from high school, who worked/have worked there.
Actually, every one of them sounds familiar - I haven't worked exclusively with them, but I'm sure if I looked hard enough I could find one of them :)

Pretty weird how we share a lot of the same stuff..

David

Ed

Malorie

Ed quit Legoland awhile back and now works at the Journey's at the Escondido mall, David works there for sure, and Malorie....I'm not so sure.

OMG, that is so weird, I went to Journey's the other day and I saw Ed there - I know it was him. I haven't seen the other two around though, I haven't been working there for too long, I bet I'll come across one of em soon though.

Ed works at Journey's full-time, so there's always a guarantee you'll see him there. And I believe David is back at Legoland after quitting a few months ago.

Man, what a small world.

OH by the way, are you gonna end up going to the new L.A. Fitness right across the street from your school? They open in about a month or two, and it's gonna be two stories. :)

advertising sales for a newspaper,

one word of advice, never.....ever..... get a shaggin office job, its the worst boring job you can get, same shaggin chair ever shaggin day with the same shaggin walls and the same shaggin fone infront of the same shaggin computer.

moneys good tho :D

Sounds like you need a day (or 8) off my friend.

Crazy that you know people who work at Legoland too :)

And definately, positively, I'll be getting a membership there - you gonna go there too? I know you go to the one in Escondido, but do you have a pass to switch between gyms?

Maybe I could do office work when I am older (50+)

But I am too young to be couped up in a little cubicle staring at numbers not being able to look at hot women walking around whilst at work

There's no reason to be scared of these so called "office jobs" that you fear so much. I work in IT Advisory, which is technically an office job. I work 50+ hours a week, travel about 75% of the time, make up workouts in my hotel rooms, and don't get to go out very often because i'm either working or tired from working.

It's not my dream job, but the experience is great. I look forward to the day that i can take the experience i have gained here and can apply it to my dream job (yet to be determined). I hate to preach, but its not always bad to suck it up for a few years, put in your time, and then allow yourself to fall into your dream job (or golden parachute, if you're lucky!)

Not really an office job if you spend 75% of that travelling.

I could tolerate a small amount of time stuck in an office.

I mean an office job sat in the same room all day every day every week every month.
