You know you're a weight-training noob when...

Make a list of things that people think is right, but is actually wrong in working out. Try to list at least 3.

I'll start.

You know you're a weight-training noob when...
1. You think running works out your legs and that you don't need to do any weighttraining exercises for your legs

2. you workout every single day way over your limit thinking that you are progessign to ultimate buffness.

3. you have absolutely no workout plan whatsoever and you're just doign whatever you feel like.

I'm currently doing that now and I'm 10lbs heavier than I was last month. And believe it or not, most is muscle.

You say/think things like:

1) "It must work, my trainer told me so", :eek:

2) I did an hour of cardio walking on the treadmill, and 300 situps today! :p

3) "But won't those purple 8-pound weights make me bulky? I don't wanna look like a guy... I don't wanna get all swole... maybe the little blue (5-pound) ones are better for me." :rolleyes:


...My best friend still won't stop about the 5 pound weights being "her limit". I got her to use the 8-pound weights for one workout and she ran over to the PT and asked him if her arms were getting too big... she was really freaking out over that one workout... lol. She also calls me a bodybuilder for using freeweights, lol. Needless to say, we don't go to the gym together anymore... anyone need a workout buddy? lol... :D
