WorkInProgress's Diary

Hypo Hippo, I love my Gazelle! Well, to be honest, I hate to exercise, so what I love is that my Gazelle is in front of the TV, so I can work out without feeling like I am! :p

I just wonder if it does much good, because I can go at a moderate pace for an hour or more without feeling terribly tired. But I suppose it's better than nothing!

I'll keep you posted, smallerbytheday! :)

Hey T2, thanks for the picture! I was meaning to google it, and lost my memory somewhere between then and here ;)

WIP - good job on going an hour, even if it isn't the BEST, you're not sitting on the couch while watching TV right :) You're MOVING!!

Keep it up!!

Just a quick update to prove that I HAVEN'T forgotten about this or given up! In the first week of June, I only lost one pound. I haven't been trying as hard as I could to lose weight, nor have I gotten too "off track," so that seems about right.

My goal will be to lose 2 lbs in the next seven days. That doesn't seem like much, but I think that right now, given the circumstances, anything more than that would be unrealistic.

Speaking of weight loss goals, that reminds me of a show I've been watching occassionally. Has anyone else ever seen "Celebrity Fit Club?" I've been noticing that they seem to be trying to lose an awful lot of weight each week - I wonder if those are feasible, healthy goals, or if they set high goals to keep TV viewers interested? I've always heard that, unless a person is morbidly obese, 2-3 lbs per week is a sensible goal.

Anyway! I'm off to bed; I can barely keep my eyes open! Good luck everyone else with your goals - I'll come back on and spend some time visiting others' diaries soon! :)

Great progress! 14 pounds off woohoo. :D I think that 1-2 pounds a week is an average amount for long term weightloss however a heavier person say over 200 pounds would probably lose 2-3. Obviously some people lose faster or slower, I was told to go slow (about 2 pounds a week) and the pounds are more likely to stay off long term. Anyway just wanted to tell you what I was told. It isn't usual to drop 5+ lbs a week, week after week. Tv isn't real life...even reality tv isn't "real" life, its real life made for tv. :p
Great job keep at it. :)
