1) if you are just starting, be aware that the same letter can be used twice (my first try a few days ago was frustrating not knowing this)

2) is 5 letters standard or have there be other length words?

I realized number 1 from the start but it still trips me up sometimes. The version I knew when I was a kid could have more letters but this one's always 5.

i'm trying to think of a reason not to use the same first word every day.

I wasn't either, but in the back of my mind, I knew it was a word we once used. I looked the meaning up afterwards. I often use the same starter word, or a word using e, a & r.
