why????

ive been reading around all the fitness forum today and soooo many people are obsessed with abs and biceps .whats this all about its like they think there body consists of only 2 muscles. im starting to believe that noobs(no offence to any body) are posting questions without reading around (which would be easier for all concerned)in the vain hope of building up there arms and abs and wanting to look like popeye which is not gonna happen.

its like any new thread now is either 6 pack oriontated or how big are your arms.
any body agree ?
RANT OVER

yeah, its sad..

Same thing I see in the real world at the gym...dudes staring at their biceps in the mirrors...just makes me happy that I'm "enlightened".

Well, just to enlighten y'all with a woman's opinion...

We only notice the biceps. Seriously. We think it's sexy when a guy has toothpick legs, no glutes, and completely disproportionately large biceps. Oh yeah, baby, that does it for us.

Oh, and don't forget that we LOVE the bulldog posture. So, don't bother working out your back muscles boys, just keep on focusing on bench press and make sure your shoulders hunch forward to round out the back and hunch you forward.

FINALLY, a reason not to do legs!

YES!

Yep! Deschain is a woman!

We should not go against the Grain with Deschain; she can cause us Mundane Distain and drive us insane.

AHA I KNEW IT! And here I was tricked by people into tihnking that full body workouts were the most beneficial for you.

I knew doing dumbbell curls, barbell curls, hammer curls, cable machine curls and reverse curls for a workout was the way to go.

Yeah, I agree, but the reason I always come back to this forum is the good advice given back to those people. So many forums are full of these guys and have no experienced trainers or lifters to point them in the right direction.

That's why I think it's good that we have all those threads, that shows that we're picking up a lot of these 'fight club abs' wannabe's and showing them the path to enlightenment :)

Couldnt agree more, i looked up these to back up your point. :D

bis, pecs and abs....They're the three basics that guys want to see out of themselves simply because they're good mirror muscles and that girls notice these 3 the most.

yeah, sad but true. This post made me realize something, all the posture problems on all the guys in the world... its really the girls fault!

All kidding aside, I can see where people get the idea for focusing on abs/pecs/bis. They are good "mirror" muscles when you think about it.

Even so, though, a little more thought, and one would realize that it's the whole package, not just one section, that matters. Especially the back, just b/c you can't see it, doesn't mean it doesn't matter. I mean, I don't know about other women, but I like to feel some muscle on the back I'm clinging on to.

HA! So-
I'm in love

that is all.

not to mention working your back will make you more wide and tick. It will give you a powerful look, even when someone is looking at you from the front.

Yep, that's one hot post! Especially when you look me straight in the eye and say it :)

Here's something to think about:

At my gym a lot of guys have huge upper bodies and tiny legs. They stand around doing bicep curls to fatigue and do nothing for the legs. The other week some ladies came over and started laughing at them, me and my friend wanted to know what was so funny, and then we looked and saw this guy about 6ft 6 taking his tracksuit bottoms off. Underneath were the finest toothpicks around. They were wolf whistling and just as the guy looked please one of them said 'nice legs'. Owned.
