Why do I get itchy when I exercise?

Hey everyone,

I just joined this forum when I saw this question. I don't get itchy when I work out, but my mom and aunt do. To prevent it, they take a chlor tab antihistamine before working out. They are pretty cheap and you can get them at Walmart. Maybe this will help.

Yes, I have been like that since for as long as I can remember. If I have a break from exercise for a week or more then start exercising again the unbearable itchiness comes back! It seems to be worse if I haven't drank enough water prior to exercising...

yeah guys, we are alone. i dont thinking anyone knows what this itch-thing is except for the people who experience it. it aint paints. it aint urticaria; gross! whatever that "Exercise-induced anaphylaxis" is, this aint allergies. all the professionals are clueless. I've been active my whole life, youth soccer, high school football and now my military job requires me to maintain a high level of fitness. I've notices that the only thing that helps is to stay active everyday of the week. the itching only goes away depending on how long i've sat around and not worked out. If i slack off and dont work say over a long weekend, it'll take maybe a couple of day of running before i can run without daydreaming of yanking my pants down infront of everyone and scratching my bum-hind. but if i take weeks off, with no exersise at all then it is at least two weeks of running before the itch goes away. looking back, i've had the itch my whole life. though i was candid as a child scratch my bum in front of everyone on the soccer field. i thought it was the grass? I've been following these sites wondering if anybody has found out what this thing is yet, and proving to people that i'm not making this up; there are others out there... just sucks no research is being done on this. one of us is just gonna have to get rich to lead a cure or just run through it, and keep up your workout. -dont let 'em catch you scratching your bum in public

This is a wonderful segment the turned the light bulb on in my mind. Food cravings have been in control. I fight high anxiety,so I have very often turned to food. It only took a few sentences to open my eyes and let me see where I really am concerning food and overpowering cravings.
