Junior at the University of Indianapolis, and I'm a music major!

I though about going into a music major ...but I'm ganna go for business. What is it like majoring in music? Are you producing songs and all that? What kind of music are you into?

Senior at UCO. Will be attending my student teaching (and last semester) in August through December. I have passed my subject area certifications in secondary English and phys ed/safety/health. I've also taken my coaching theory classes for general coaching and for track&field and wrestling.

I think being a music major is a blast. But I don't produce songs or anything, I'm music education, and I think that would be Music Technology or Recording. Clarinet is my instrument, so I take clarinet lessons and have to do a recital every semester, and I take a woodwinds masterclass. I take music theory, music history, strings brass winds and vocal pedagogy, arranging, and I play in orchestra and wind ensemble. It's all very time consuming, and I spend a lot more time in class than it says I do, haha. Like I get .5 credit hours for my wind ensemble, but I spend 6 hours a week in there. I really do love it though.

Oh, yeah. I love calculus, but I got my ass handed to me on infinite series (toward the end of calc II). Physics is also great stuff. I miss it.

I wish I was still an undergrad! God those were the days. So much free time to eat right which is needed since there was so much beer drinking to negate the positive side effects of the good nutrition. But boy was it worth it!

I am entering my masters now. Still split about persuing a masters in exercise physiology or dietetics. HMMMM?
