What's on your Ipod?

What are you listening to these days? What do you listen to when you're working out? What gets you moving?

I'll jump in...one of my current favorites is Ray of Light by Madonna. I dislike Madonna intensely now, but I used to be a fan so I have almost all of her CDs. This is a song that survived the Great Madonna Cull of 2007 on my iPod.

Everything's Just Wonderful by Lily Allen is also kickass. I'm not a big music snob so I can enjoy mainstream pop music along with other more esoteric things.

And here's an oddball one...most people would not put this kind of thing on their iPods, but I'm a fucking geek so it's on mine: American Patrol by the Glenn Miller Orchestra. It's hard to find a recording by the actual Glenn Miller Orchestra that won't peak out with anything but the best headphones, but it's extremely peppy and works well for me.

Metallica
Disturbed
Rage Against The Machine
System Of A Down
Godsmack
Alice In Chains

I actually listen to a lot of different kinds of music but when I'm working out it has to be hard and fast.

I dont see alot of people listening to hip hop here.

Ok stopping...

This is just stuff that I love and is on my itunes...it could go on and on and on.........

My taste is pretty varied..

The only music I really dont like is "Scene" music and really hardcore metal aka death metal

I have such an eclectic taste that it is impossible to list everything. So my favorite tune is:

SHUFFLE :D

I get off on lots of progressive instrumental stuff, you know, too many notes in a single measure with constant time changes. It's great because one song can last for half a cardio workout.

Current faves
Liquid Tension Experiment - When the water Breaks
Bozzio Levein Stevens - Chaos/Control
Porcupine Tree Blackest Eyes

Lots more but, not enough time.

Add in some Dillinger Escape Plan, Emmure, August Burns Red, In Flames, Bring Me The Horizon, Tool, Every Time I Die, Metallica, Poison the Well, Remembering Never, The Chariot,...man there is so many more..
I LOVE MUSIC AND METAL! hahah anything metal, or hardcore pretty much!

Oh I just thought of another new one that I started listening too thats not metal- The Flobots. - awesome band with a meaning.

Right now I'm jamming to Grease by Frankie Valli. I drive my workout partner nuts with my disco, and I further torture him by reminding him that I missed it the first time around (too young to remember it).

I've been listening to both the Colin Hay acoustic and Men At Work original version of Overkill for a while now. Love that song, both versions.

Pink Floyd, Elliott Smith, King Crimson, Wilco, Pavement, Electric Light Orchestra and a bunch of other stuff I'd bet no one has ever heard of

I will bet money that I am the only person here with Nothing From Nothing by Billy Preston on their iPod.
