Whats in a name?

i would have chosen "Lisa" as my username but it was already taken!
so i chose wonderwoman for 2 reasons. i used to LOVE the show wonderwoman when i was a kid (the one with Lynda Carter). then i kinda forgot about it as an adult until some people online started calling me "wonderwoman" on some pregnancy/baby message boards i use to post on. they called me that because i had my son in 2000 and then 13 months later had my twins (without having a nervous breakdown lol!).
 
I just love Turtles....collect figurines and they are my spirit. I have this idea that I am a lot like turtles. We both have tough outer shells to protect our delicate and fragile insides....and when the going gets too tough or scary we retreat within that shell. Momma - cuz I'm a mom!

My astrological sign is Cancer - animal crab - probably for the same reason as the turtle - but I just love turtles for osme reason.

I am a cancer too. I had this ladybug phase I went through. Oh and a monkey phase along time ago. Yeah, I definately have a hard shell outside (the Bitchy me) and a soft inside, (the sweetheart!) ;)
 
My name is the title of a book that I have been writing for about two years ...I like fantasy and this is about Dragons and a signifigant event that happens in their life . I am co writing with a friend but life has gotten busy so we are about on chapter 6 and have stayed there .

It will in all liklihood never see a publisher but the joy is in the journey and not the final destination . I feel like I am creating a work of my heart and soul and putting it down on paper . I enjoy it and if no one else does thats alright ....my 50 lb treat to myself is going to be a tat on my shoulder with two green entertwining dragons and "Dragons Destiny " written in Latin . A friend designed the dragons for me . It will be a reward that I am looking forward to and only 23 more lbs to go !!

Yep...sounds like a cancer to me! Moody and sentimental!

Turtles have been a part of my life since I was 8. I don't ever see that changing. Although I do like ladybugs, and dragonflies, and those funky colored frogs.................my soul is with a turtle and always will be.

I chose the name "Capuccino" because I love the drink and a guy told me once that I have the same skine tone. I've loved the name ever since.

I was browsing through Off Topic and HAD to pull this one out. I LOVE Wonder Woman myself...Lynda Carter was the best thing since sliced bread to me as a kid!! I use Wonder Woman pics as my avatar on every other board that I'm a member of (technology boards), but I didn't want to cause any confusion so I opted against it here. Just thought it was cool to meet someone who loves her as much as I do. I used to have a pic of her as my screen saver on my cellphone and my PDA, but have since switched it out...my daughter got jealous. :p

My username Ohappydaye is a combination of my personality and my last name (Daye). It's also the name ( minus the -e) of a gospel song that uplifts me. :) It seemed to be a perfect fit!
 
maleficent is the villian from sleeping beauty. Best of all the fairy tale villians because she's got no motive for being evil... she just is.

Maleficent has been my alter-ego on line for a few years... There's a few sites where i argue politics among other things and her presence helps me out :D I don't have to be nice... (though sometimes i am and it suprises people)

I actually like her for helping me out with weight loss... because she makes no excuses for being evil... she's embraced her inner bitch... I'm done making excuses for being overweight and embracing my inner thin self... or something like that :D
 
Mine is a nickname i picked up my first day of school in WI. Nobody knew who I was so they made up a name for me. It really only stuck with the guys through that year, but one kid kept calling me alexia all through out high school and beyond. I didnt really know him. but my friends and i still find it amusing.
 
On every board or email list I've been on since my daughter was born in '96, I've been mom2meg, this was the first time I've ever shortened it to m2m.

I just realized that before '96, I was KBG - for "Killer Bob's Girl" (my dh's nick name was Killer Bob) back when I started getting on BB's in '90.

Seems I've always been someone to someone else ;)
