I'm just wondering what type of training everybody is doing, and why.

You can pick more than one item here because a lot of people do more than one thing ;)
 
what's the difference between the first two?
 
No specific thing in mind other than just stay in shape, keep up with my kids, keep my cholesterol down and look and feel better.
 
Ummm...powerlifting program based on bench, squat, deadlift, and military press

Sport specific training=throwing. But off-season until Feb

Maybe be able to play sports with my kids too.
 
I didn't see str training, so I put pl/oly, but I don't really compete or lift to get stronger in those lifts anymore, so I edited the poll and took my vote from pl/oly to str. :p

Also, since I are all those words you just used means that I, of course, know what they mean, and didn't have to look it up at dictionary.com

In all seriousness, I did know quintessential, because we've had about that in philosophy, basically the 5th element. And I also knew what omniscient was. The last one I didn't know though, so I had to look it up to make sure I didn't agree to something that had something to do with impotense :p
 
Ok, I put down strength training....however let the record hold that I powerlift in my fantasies.
