What Supplements do you use

I'm not a big fan of supplements but I take fish oil an AO and a multi vit/min with green food extracts in it.

That's about it.

I see a lot of guys popping horse pills 5 or 6 times a day and just wonder why.

So what do you use and why??

Flax oil
Whey
multi-V
acetyl-l-carnitine - fat loss
ECA - fat loss

Fish oil
Glucosamin/Chondroitin
Multi-vitamin
Whey
Creatine
Calcium (I'm not hearing good things about calcium sups right now).

I've also tried a tribulus product as a proof of concept. The jury is still out.

I'm looking at trying forslean next, which has some postive research behind it.

multivitamin
whey
creatine
ZMA
EFAs

ZMA might be considered one of those "horse pills"... but it's become an integral constituent to my supplement cabinet after trying it for a couple weeks. I wake up feeling refreshed and I'm full of energy (perhaps a bad thing to some people) every day. Even though the increased testosterone studies seem a little shady, I personally have seen my sex drive increase by leaps and bounds; but that might just be from the sleep.

Yup, I'm taking the exact same things, and I agree that the ZMA is only good for a nice sleep...that and the dreams are fun

multivitamin
fish/flax/olive oil/peanut butter as needed to keep fat intake healthy
creatine
ON pro complex to supplment protein intake
Metamuscil fiber wafers to keep my fiber intake around 25g - plus they taste like cookies!

It seems like I'm the only one here who doesn't use shakes.

I did for a while but I'd rather eat my calories than drink them. It just seems more satisfying to me.

I actually am thinking about addong glucosamine for the old joints. It's worked wonders for my dog.

If one can get all their protein from solid meals then of course there is no use for shakes. Most opt to use them after training because their quick and easy to digest. Solid food kinda makes people gag at this time although fat-free chocolate milk would be a good alternative.

Also if one does not have time to eat a meal at a certain time of the day, then a shake is better then missing the meal entirely.

Also, if you're bulking, sometimes it's difficult to get enough calories in from regular food. I had two shakes yesterday alone, each was around 500 calories, aside from the 7-8 other times I ate real food throughout the day.

If it's a basic whey concentrate, you are fine. I have not used it, but looking at the title alone, I'm sure it's the same as most other concentrates - it helps with recover and repair.
