I've had bad experiences with Hoodia, spend a lot of money on bogus products, or you can call them scam hoodia. I know hoodia works but because it's not regulated you can never get pure form.

I agree with the first two, but celery just intesifies my hunger.

I put a little peanut butter on it, though I try not to eat peanut butter when I'm really starving cause it tends to trigger seconds.

If you're a low sodium eater and afford the expense, beef jerky is delicious and filling (and chocked with protein, as Steve suggested).

Whole oranges (including the peel) make me feel amazingly full and satiated in the morning if I eat them as a midnight-ish snack, for some reason.

Problem with eating all those great things, I do like most of them except for the Jerky, eeehhh....
I have crohns and can't have most vegetables or fruit, I can eat them in puree form, like baby food, but my love of food and craving's are my weaknest, so for now I am still on the road to finding Hoodia. Thank you all, for your suggestions, Lise

Hi Farewellfat, my sis-in-law had crohns she loved food but food didn't love her, hope you get on well with the help from this forum

I've found that a small glass of grapefruit juice or skim milk does it for me. I drink one or the other in the evening. That's when I usually get cravings for a snack or something sweet. Water is great, but it doesn't leave me full for long. So far I've lost a few pounds by managing to avoid the extra evening snacking this way.

I've just started my quest to get in shape, but when I get the munchies I'll drink a full 16 oz bottled water at once. Usually it leaves me feeling so bloated and almost sick to my stomach that I don't want to eat. The sick feeling goes away after a few minutes but I feel full for a while.

disclaimer: I never drink more water in a day than I should. I struggle to even drink as much as I should.

I have been looking for a nice, warming , not unhealthy nighttime drink, does anyone hae any ideas? I used to drink a hot chocolate each night but for obvious reasons im trying to avoid that now.

Any suggestions welcome :) xx

Have hot chocolate... make it with skim milk...

Republic of Teas makes a nice assortment of herbal teas that are very tasty.. as do a bunch of other tea companies...

just thought i'd throw in my 2 cents...

I drink a glass of warm water and squeeze in 1/4 of a lemon's juice. Does the trick for me, and I believe I read that it also helps to release digestive enzymes :)

I drink one glass in the morning before breakfast, and another one before I go to bed.
