What is your breakfast??
I have to have my coffee in the morning to keep me awake and energized and i have 3 tiny cupcakes that come in a pack and there 100 calories.
there pretty yummy, i cant have fruit or anything cold beacuse it gives me a stomach ache and fruit and cold things from the fridge and wet and ughh thats just not what i like to eat in the morning i like soft warm food!!!
instead of having a mufffin with 400 calories in it like i use to or a piece of cake that alot...i found these 100 calorie snacks

there by hostess just incase you were wondering:)

Every single morning I have a green smoothie.

Spinach or Kale or something dark green & Leafy
1 Banana
and another fruit usually an orange (sometimes cherries or whatever is on hand)
2 tsp of dry oatmeal
2 tsp of flax meal
1/3 cup of soy
water

Blend and drink.

Natural peanut butter (I pour off the excess oil from the top when I buy it, rather than stirring it back in) on a sawdust-and-guar-gum tortilla.

For me mostly it is 1 cup of Oatmeal with some flax seeds added and 1/2 a banana and 2 Egg whites; or somedays I skip the oatmeal and have 1 grapefruit instead with my egg whites.

Breakfast for me varies. As of late it's been a smoothie consisting of whey protein powder, a frozen banana, some oats, natural peanut butter, Udo's Oil, and yogurt.

If it's not that though, it's usually something like old fashioned oats heated up with some fruit mixed in along with some eggs.

I used to make protein pancakes too, they were yummy.

1 cup of a whole grain bran cereal like All Bran or Nature's Path flakes, 1/4 cup of blueberries or raisins or 5 sliced strawberries, and one cup of milk. Occasionally I will have a cup of oatmeal and the fruit instead. I don't have the satiety control when I do eggs or something else for breakfast as I do with the cold cereals. Oatmeal isn't as good either. I like the crunchy texture of the dry cereal in the cold milk.

God Bless,
mik

I eat 2 brands of cereal mixed. I measure out half the serving size on each box then combine them. Usually the cereal is something like..Cheerios, Crispex, Chex, and sometimes the second brand is something special like..Banana Nut Crunch or Honey Bunches of Oats. Then I sprinkle it with ground cinnamon, pour in the milk and stir. This usually adds up to be about 320 calories, plus a clementine and a cup of coffee. Altogether, my breakfast is around 340 calories.

Do you mind Steve if I ask you for your best recipe for a breakfast smoothie? Perferably one containing oats and peanut butter? It seems I often crave protein and carbs in the morning.

seems like everyone has a healthy breakfast and im the one eating the cupckakes...lol...its not bad in the nutrition facts but the fact that its not something like fruit or yogurt isnt as healthy... :/ i want to try oatmeal but it doesnt have enough flavor for me anyone know a good oatmeal?

the real problem with those cupcakes that you're eating is that they contain HFCS (high fructose corn syrup as an ingredient -search on it -it's not something you want to put into your body)

A higher fiber breakfast that also includes protein will help keep you full longer...

There are a lot of good oatmeals it's really about personal preference - go to the g rocery store, read labels and see what appeals to you

I'm not much of an oatmeal person either but I got started on the Quaker Weight Control Banana Bread flavor. It's quick and easy and tastes good.

Sometimes cereal and skim milk, sometimes, toast, almost always a V8

If you like something sweet, you can add a little cinnamin and some Splenda to it. Maybe even low cal-syrup with 10 calories for 1/4 cup. It's EXTREMELY tasty and hardly tips the caloric intake scale. With Milk, I'd say maybe about 300 cal.

I make a big batch of these blueberry bran pancakes and my family eats them throughout the week. delicious.

My usual is a bowl of reduced salt high fibre bran with alpro soya light unsweetened; and a protein shake:
-230kcal
-12g fibre
-30g protein

Its gets rock hard if you pour the oil out....but it still tastes good, just annoying to dig into

It's not good to eat the same thing everyday, so I switch between a few options. Either 1 egg with 1/2c of whites and spinach omlette, or a serving of Quinoa flakes (Quinoa flakes are a whole grain - it has a very high protien content and so it releases itself into your body over many hours and keeps you feeling satisfied - and is very low in calories), and if I'm on the run and I have no time to cook I'll grab a 1c container of 1% milkfat cottage cheese (Thats my last choice though, because of its sodium content). None of them are over 200 calories - and they keep me feeling full until mid afternoon!

I make oatmeal in the morning with the regular oats (not quick cooking) and put in 1/3 banana and a TB of craisens. Heat it up with the fruit in it. Then add cinnamon and a tsp or two of brown sugar. Heating the bananas mushes them up and really flavors the whole bowl. Its delicious. If i don't have craisens i'll throw in a handful of blueberries but I don't like heating those up.

Otherwise I go with a cup of cereal (various combinations) and 1/2 cup light plain soymilk or nonfat yogurt with 1/4 cup cereal and a bunch of fresh fruit. Oh and i usually have a 1/2 small grapefruit with whatever I make.

It does if it sits for any period of time, but there are only like 14 2Tbl servings in a jar. So when I'm on a peanut butter kick, I'll go through a jar in 2-3 weeks, and only the bottom inch or so stiffens up.
