Sport What are your temptation foods?

Sport Fitness
Soft drinks - when I gave them up last year I was up to 2-4 liters a day
now i have maybe a can a week, would go diet but I cannot stand
diet sodas....unsweet tea seems to help some, so does coffee

Deserts of any sort - what can I say? The fat boy loves his cake, donuts,
fritters, pie, etc. No real sub here, just trying to stick it out,
maybe give in every week or two and have a pair of cookies or a
donut.

Homeade Oat Cookies

manofkent posted this.....
What's the recipe? Willing to share?

My main ones alcohol... i usually go overboard at least once a week

but on the weekends i have a hard time avoiding snack foods when we have people over for barbeques and what not...

Cheese!! Cheese of all kinds is one of my favorite foods...sliced, shredded, on pizza, mac & cheese, etc. I could sit there with a whole block of it and cut it up to eat on crackers. Bad. I bought some of those Laughing Cow mini babybels and I eat one of those every day with crackers as a snack, or I'll have some shredded mozzarella with beans in a whole wheat tortilla. Portion is the key for me but it's hard sometimes because I want more.

Nothing is really my downfall per se, unless it's in the house, and then it's anyone's game. When I go to the store I can resist the chips/cookies/cakes but my boyfriend will have it in the house and then it's a definite test of willpower, especially late at night!

Ooh, soft peanut butter cookies made me think of my favorite cookie...OATMEAL RAISIN!

There is a small, gourmet grocery chain in Texas called Central Market (derivative of H-E-B, the regular non-fancy grocery store), that makes the most mouth-watering, moist, f*$cking delicious rated-X oatmeal raisin cookies. As soon as you put one in your mouth, you are honestly kind of speechless for a second. "What magical things are in here?" you think, "organic brown sugar? Freshly churned butter? Pot? What! WHAT MAKES YOU SO DELICIOUS, YOU COOKIE YOU!!"

Or, at least, that is me.

I know this a late response to what you said but I just read it and it made me laugh. Had you just eaten these cookies when you posted that because it sure sounded like you were on something "magical" haha!

I also love anything with cheese which is funny because when i was a kid i used to take cheese off my pizza. Another one of my favorites is anything with potatoes which is bad and i havent had anything with potatoes in awhile! I also miss reeses cups and ice cream :(

I'm mexican, so what else?

CHEESE! I miss my days of putting cheese on everything

I've pretty much gotten so used to not eating sugar and ice cream that when I DO eat them I feel super guilty and gross so theyre not as tempting anymore...

But oh anything fried...

Noddles15, you just reminded me of more temptation foods! My boyfriend is Mexican and every Sunday we visit his family...they make refried beans, rice, tacos, homemade salsa, chilaquiles....needless to say, Sunday is my cheat day. ;)

LOL lilsarrygrl05, no I wasn't on anything "magical" per se...not saying I would have minded if I were :)

Oh my gosh yes Skye, processed food! I am addicted to Morningstar veggie burgers, which aren't "bad" for you really; it's just so hard to avoid processed things. Have you developed strategies in your life to lessen processed things? (soy products, protein bars, cereal, cottage cheese...the list goes on for me...)

And whoever mentioned potatoes: have you ever tried substituting sweet potatoes? Those are much better for you and SO yummy! I have mine with cottage cheese and avocado...a little weird but DELICIOUS and good for you!

Much to my suprise the things I miss the most are white bread and white rice. Replacing white with brown bread was easy enough but brown rice is horrid. I grew up in Italy, so I'm used to eating white bread with everything.

Sweets are a major weakness of mine, but I've now made that a treat for when I'm at the cinema once or twice a month.

Miss a bag of crisps once in a while... and biscuits :(

What a depressing thread! lol

I can handle brown rice ok, just as long as I don't think about how much better white rice is. The texture is just off, and there is no making it feel like white rice.
sigh....
