What Annoy's you most about your gym?

That the rack of dumbells is always crowded because every dude besides me is doing curls in front of the mirror.

I've a variation on this in that there's a woman who has started working out when I do at the small corporate gym I belong to. She seems to insist on working out RIGHT NEXT to the dumbbell rack, even though there's plenty of space to do otherwise. Today it was just her and I and she could've set up a bit further away, but nope, right next to the rack is where she was. Incidentally she's also the one that seems to need the stability ball (there ARE others in the gym) when I'm using it.

Is she hot?

Come on Shafted, you know Stingo is WAY to focused on his workouts to perv at some pesky woman!!!

So......IS she fit??? I know you have looked really.

An annoying thing at the gym I go to is the amount of monkeys you get swinging on the lat pull down lol!

No, she isn't fit - but then again I'm not either.

Actually when I'm in the gym I'm there to work out, so I can be pretty antisocial lol.

Same here really, a lot of people ask me do I workout on my own and are suprised when I say I do because a lot of friends know another of our mates goes the same gym and just assume we must workout together.

I quite like going alone because it means theres no distractions. I do HATE lifting when its busy though because even with a backup plan for each exercise it can still slow you down a lot, so I try to go earlier in the afternoon and just leave work early or go later at night when it is also quiet.

Ever wonder if she's trying to get your attention? Maybe she hopes one day you'll strike up a conversation while you're asking her to get out of your way.

Women work in strange ways :)

Myabe I'm just having a moment here, but why would anyone do dumbell curls at the squat rack? What benefit does it give you? I could see how it could help when doing barbell curls, but how does it benefit single dumbells?

My main problem is probably the whole sweat deal. Yes, we all sweat when we go to the gym, but some people have the courtesy of wiping up behind themselves. Some people think that just because they were sitting in their own sweat, that nobody else would mind doing so too.

Second is the chatty kathys. Did you come to workout or talk? Some people I think go to the gym to look at girls and talk ONLY, and its freaking pathetic. My brother in law is thinking about switching gyms because he doesn't think there are enough "hot chicks" at our gym. Don't let the door hit ya, where the good lord split ya!

True, but all it's doing is pissing me off lol. Like I said - antisocial when I'm in the gym. I'm there to get my stuff done and be out as soon as I can. I've since discovered that the "quiet" time at the gym is around 2pm (I start at 11am). So I think I'll just go then and avoid the hassle. (Also, for whatever reason, someone has to be using the lat pulldown machine when I need it.)

2 things. Both of which I saw the other day:
1) Adults staring at you and smiling when you do an exercise heavier than them. Just freaky.
2) people who knock their drinks inbetween the weights in use, squashing the bottle of powerade causing it to go all over the weights. F*****g classic.
