I think Yanks already have a pretty good idea, 80's football hooligans seemed to give the World a pretty good display of just how pissed we get
I remember at uni we were downing pints as forfeits but when we ran out of beer I downed a pint of Vodka. Not the best idea, and I wasn't capable of drinking for much longer after that

And no i still don't think they have a clue how we get down. I always assume they picture us as well spoken posh people who have tea parties.
T, not all beer is weak here...there are plenty of full force, delicious beers here. It's just that it has become "cool" to drink light beers, and of course everyone in the commercials drinking the light beer is lean and healthy, so dumb people here think it will work for them. But yeah, we have plenty of good beer, it's just that most of it comes from Europe.
To be honest the UK makes crap beer too (on the whole), we rely on the Germans with their technical brilliance to supply the bulk of our beer

To be fair though, I think boozing like I used to do when I was a student is going out of fashion (50p a pint at Berlins nightclub in Bournemouth). Most kids these days are using Charlie instead as it works out cheaper

For some reason they air them here late...it's really cool. Your politicians just kinda speak their mind and then the heads of departments reply back...it's neat.
Ahh, see I had this perception that all beers over there were strong and quality. Germans do make some damn good beer. Although one of my favorites is Strongbow, which I think is from the UK? Belgian beer is good, I agree. I like lots of different types, just too cheap to drink them hardly.

Wow, most cider over here is sold in giant 3 litre plastic bottles for about £1 ($1.50). It's generally just farmers, tramps and kids that drink it as it's sweet and nasty but gets you wasted for the price of a Mars bar

Wow, I wish I could get it that cheap. So is Strongbow just like run of the mill cider and there are much fancier ones? Over here, I think that's recognized as being pretty top class. Like I said, it sure is expensive. I really don't think it's that sweet, and I love it, just don't have it often. You must not know how some Americans roll...have you heard of the likes of Smirnoff Ice? It's sweet as hell, basically like wine coolers I guess. Now that's the stuff I consider sweet and nasty.

Strongbow is pretty bog standard mass produced stuff, a little like Bud is for lagers in the US, it's popular but mid-range. You can get very expensive and well made Ciders over here as I think we're just about the only country in the World that drinks it. Most Europeans wouldn't have even heard of it until they come over here

I was just gonna say...cider really isn't popular here, not sure why. There's really only like 2 or 3 different kinds in any given store. I love it, it's just expensive, there's not much to choose from, and no places really have it.
The light and low carb beers, along with most other beers are terrible. I used to be able to drink them, but once I was introduced to good beer, I just can't stomach the cheaper or light beer. Stone's (Brewery in San Diego) Ruination IPA being my favorite, it's hard to drink much beer other than that, or good comporable IPAs.
With all that said, I've basically quit drinking beer all together in my quest to drop the BF. The good beer isn't all that great (read: terrible) for your body, and the "light" beer tastes like piss, so I've just opted to stop all together. Tough at first, but was a pretty quick adjustment.

Is it even possible to take shots of Everclear? That stuff is 95% alcohol. Have you actually done it?
