okay okay okay... I'm calling The Campbell Clinic tomorrow to see when they can get me in. They've already done work on a couple of friends of mine with no problems :)

1) oats /w mixed berries + 1 scoop 'o whey
2) 1 apple, 1 banana
3) Healthy choice + can of sardines
4) 6oz lite yogurt + orange
5) grilled chicken breast, brown rice, veggies stir fried in peanut oil

I know I haven't been posting, there's just been too much going on with work. School in the evenings is taking up most of my free time as I get into the semester. I also go to an Orthopedic Dr on tues afternoon about my knee... wish me luck!

I'm BAAAAACK in the saddle again.... gawd I can't get that song outta my head... The Ortho told me yesterday that there is NO knee damage. HOWEVER, my R kneecap turns to the inside when I bend my legs. PLUS, he suspects small tears between in the lower quads and upper tendons. funfunfun... I get to do 2 things: 1) get a new knee brace, one that is hinged. Okay, not a problem, the one I have is a cheapie and it's too big now (mucho YAY!) 2) I have to cut back on lower body for 6 weeks (BOOO!). Oh well, 1-2 run/walks a week instead of 3 runs and dropping 110 off mmy leg press to an even 200 should work. If I dont improve in those 6 weeks it's MRI time!

1) sausage biscuit
2) banana +whey shake (I just GOTTA get chocolate from now on)
3) South Beach meal + sardines
4) orange + yogurt
5) sesame chicken

I'm extremely happy that I've lost 40+lbs. I still get comments from ppl I haven't seen in a while, and that makes me feel good. My clothes are so loose it's funny. Hell, my 36" waist jeans are sitting on my hips...

I need to do what Sara's doing and go 100% clean... Of course for me that's about 85% since I haven't had the time to really work the diet out. Oh, and Thurs nites are going to be bad news since I'm in class till 2130. I also have a new visual stimulus. Since I'm such a hairy bastard, I shaved my chest/belly. Heh I'm so pasty white even I'm laughing my butt off :D. Now I just need to find a relatively cheap method for PERMANANT hair removal and I'll be happy... I think body hair is nasty btw, just in case you couldn't tell...

1) Oats, fruit, 1 scoop whey (6am)

I've been in the ER with my grandma all morning... she wasn't feeling good, and when she stood up to go lay down, she passed out. Luckily her aide was at the house at the time, and she called 911.

2) South Beach meal w/2 slices bread, banana (2pm)
3) Chicken Cordon Bleu from Arby's (10pm)

Thursdays are going to be hell... I can see it now :eek:... With school and everything else that one day is just a pain... We decided to keep Grandma overnite at the hospital for observation, but she seems to be doing okay even if she's in a lot of pain from the fall. X-Rays and CT both came back clean. I'm going to Sports Authority this evening to get a new knee brace so I can start running again saturday.

4) orange (apple went bad)
5) chicken wrap from Sonic

heh same post, later in the day... Grandma's got liver probs... either medication related, or her congestive heart failure is progressing... we'll know better tomorrow...

Got a new knee brace, hinged like I was told to get... it's a little tight, but it'll be okay in a week or two....

We did the Jan b-days today, and everyone wanted to go to the chinese buffet... bad news... oh well... that's pretty much all I ate yesterday... not good I know, but I knew I was going to gorge, and I just wasn't hungry...

I DID get a new knee brace Friday, so I went to the track (.75 mile) Walked 1, ran 1 (with a 100yd dash @ the end), walked one. my knee was a bit sore when I finished...

Got up and went to the track agian this morning... my GAWD it was bitter col out... I barely managed to walk 1 lap... I need to find me a face covering...

ye gods... new pics this week & I'm scared... okay... let's start again with some simple goals, and work back into this... My idiotic self used my knee as a crutch and an excuse to not lift. I couldn't run, but that's no excuse to not do my workouts... all I had to do was drop the weight on my leg press... oooh hard...

KISS (Keep It Simple. Stupid)
1) ONE clean diet day, just one... surely I can do that.
2) Lift tonight, no excuses

meals:
1) oats /w whey & fruit (blueberries, raspberries, loganberries this time)
2) banana, 6oz lite yogurt
3) healthy choice meal, tuna
4) apple, tuna (yeah, I don't usually do this....)
snack) 2oz beef jerkey
5) Colton's Steak House: Grilled Salmon w/steamed veggies (broccoli, cauliflower, carrots). I did have one sourdough roll.

I did lift tonight, my gawd it hurt... longer recovery between sets... it's all my fault for letting that slide... I should have been working everything but my legs instead of just doing nothing.

well, now we get to see what I'm REALLY made of...
my Feb measurements were dissapointing to put it mildly. I lost a little in my shoulders, waist (pants), and hips... not too bad... but i GAINED in my damn chest and abdomen. I DID lose 4 lbs... big whoop this is not the scale I'm using

Okay, this is really a wake-up call & I don't want to hit the snooze button again. So, lack of progress coupled with a new motivation needs to do it. I gotta do this, for me and my kids...
 
I know its been a while.. I have some personal issues going on that's making it hard right now... at least i'm still able to lift a bit & i'm maintaining my weight for now.

mmmmkay... This whole year has been one big cluster****. I told my wife in Nov that I wanted a divorce... Things really haven't changed. I'm not going into details, but it's pretty much on me and my mental issues. I've been stress eating and cheating on my diet all of this year. I need to stop that. My knee is finally okay too... so... let's start small again... I need to get back to my lifting and running routines, but diet is how i started all this so... goal #1 as of today is a week of eating 90% clean. I'd say 100% but thursday nights are a pain with class until 2130...

here we go...
1) Whole grain english muffin, 2oz sausage, 1 egg (lemon pepper to season)
2) lite yogurt & banana
3) Healthy Choice meal
4) 1 can tuna & 1 apple
5) spaghetti w/meat sauce, steamed veggies, 2pc garlic bread

Went running today @ .75mi lake track. Walked the first and last laps, ran 2 in the middle

I just realized something, while i honestly LIKE what I'm eating, I need to find a way to get more variety in meals 2 & 4. I have 2 choices for breakfast, and that's okay with me. The healthy choice meals give me plenty of variety even tho i stick with the same 6-7. I can do pretty much what I want for the last meal (Mahi, chicken, salmon, pork loin, whiting, etc...)

hit the weights, i know i'ma day off, but with me heading to NashVegas next mon & tues I figure I can life tue, fri, sun. I ran monday and hopefully the temp will come up enuff to run again before i go. and my knee is NOT HURTING... this is all good...
