Usain Bolt 100m in 9.58 secs

Bolt almost lost twice yesterday, he came from behind to beat Asafa Powell in 9.81

New York Times said:
Usain Bolt shook off his Jamaican teammate Asafa Powell to win the 100 meters in 9.81 seconds at the Weltklasse meet Friday in Zurich. Bolt, the world and Olympic champion, trailed Powell halfway into the race, then used his huge stride to pull ahead. Powell finished in 9.88, followed by the Americans Darvis Patton (9.95) and Michael Rodgers (9.98).

In the sprint relay Bolt overtook the American close to the finish (looked like Greene) clocking 37.70 to the USA's 37.73.

The World Athletics Final in Greece came to an end and Bolt was upstaged by Carmelita Jeter from the USA who ran the 3rd fastest 100m of all time. Only Flo-Jo and Marion Jones have run faster. I'm not really a big fan of athletics but I will keep an eye out on Carmelita Jeter, who has a new coach and is working on her technique.

In the mens 100m final without Bolt who was too tired, Gay nicked the 100m title from Powell who led from the start. Powell has got to work on his finish, his explosive start took him ahead but he has now had Bolt and Gay overtake him at the end, not good.
