Treating eating disorders

What I found most interesting the first time that I perused his website.. other than the fact he didn't have any original thoughts... Most of his stuff was lifted straight from the Beck solution and a few other best sellers... is that he seems to be trying to make himself into a counsellor of a sort -yet accepts no insurance at all -is that because he's got no qualifications?

How about the fact that he makes no sense! hahaha :willy_nilly:

Wellness sent me a nice message via PM. I think he/she is trying to help me... even teach me!

He/she needs to learn the English language a little bit better.

I look to learn from this enlightened one and anxiously await his return. I would also like to pay him larges sums of money to teach me what he knows.

Well yeah... but his location lists him as being in alabama so i just figured he was talking southern or something that this yankee bitch didn't understand :D ya'll know? :D

HAHAHA..yeah. I guess that makes sense now that Pennsylvanian's vs. Alabama slammahs is a different lingo.

I third that..
Coming from personal experience..it's not easy at all. and I don't think you are ever quite "healed"

Coming from my personal experience, and what I've seen around me, you can get past your EDs completely. Whether it's anorexia, bulimia, a combo, OR overeating/emotional eating, those are all channels of dealing with something else in your life. Mistreatment from a loved one, a bad experience, fear of never being good enough (this was the chip on my shoulder) you can get past it if you want. I took half boxes of extra strength laxatives, ate 800 cals or less, worked out for hours (honestly I nearly lost all of my college scholarships at one point because of those behaviours consuming my life and I stopped studying), and after some successful counseling sessions and getting out into the world and learning to stop taking everything so personally I got over it. Now if I could only get over food being so tasty.

Sorry to take over the thread with that. I hope I'm not taking any business away from the master at hand.
